5 stars I purchased the Crescent 148-piece mechanic's tool set as an alternative to purchasing a socket set, screw driver and bit set, pliers, hex wrench, and wrench set- it was much cheaper to purchase theI purchased the Crescent 148-piece mechanic's tool set as an alternative to purchasing a socket set, screw driver and bit set, pliers, hex wrench, and wrench set- it was much cheaper to purchase the Crescent set then to purchase each tool individually. These tools will fill a tool bag that I will be keeping in my vehicle at all times and although the set does not include every tool I would like to keep in the bag, it does cover the basics and makes for a good start. Chrome vanadium composition means that hopefully the tools won't rust while sitting in the bag waiting to be used. Free shipping from Wayfair was a plus- this set of tools weighs 20lbs+. The only negatives that I can think of at this time is that I would have preferred that the tools be manufactured in the US instead of China (but surely this would have made them more expensive) and that the packaging requires the removal of 20 screws. I'm very pleased with this assortment of tools and look forward to using them when the need arises. Keeping a dedicated tool bag in my vehicle means that I won't be 'borrowing' tools from my shop or garage and forgetting to put them back when the task is done.
