Toilet Training

This is really a great tool for teaching boys to pee standing up. It is much easier and safer than having to grab a stool over to the toilet for my son to stand on so he can reach. Ths little urinal is the perfect height so he can use it on his own. It is also small enough to travel with. What I don't like about it is that it does not pour "mess free" into the toilet as described. I just lift the whole thing off and pour out the side instead. You also have to make sure the clip on the urinal is secure on the inside rim of the toilet or you will have a puddle on the floor! My son uses it while the toilet seat is down over the clip, once while lifting the seat to empty the urinal the whole thing fell off the rim and pee spilled all over the floor!! Potty Scotty is a bit messy, hard to empty, and difficult to dress and undress. But my son really wanted him, so we counted down the days until a "big day," and got potty Scotty as a gift that day to jumpstart potty training. It went perfectly, with pretty much instant success, after months of resistance before then. These underwear allow my daughter to connect with Potty Patty and want to keep her dry. She tells us that Potty Patty is happy to to be dry when she tells us she has to use the potty. My granddaughter LOVES her Potty Patty potty chairs! She was attracted to the ride-on toy appearance (Thankfully, there are no wheels!), so I ordered one of each color. The small seat is a perfect fit, whereas two other chairs we've purchased are a bit too large for her to feel secure. She immediately decided that one chair was for Job #1, and the other color was for Job #2. Like magic, she began selecting the colored potty for the desired performance and began using both seats as soon as they arrived. Sometimes she even trains her "baby" on the second seat. I'd recommend ordering one of each. The only drawback was that the basin does not lift out for dumping or as a "big potty" trainer . . . but with results like this, I'll gladly do a bit more cleanup work!
