This toaster is wonderful. I always thought a toaster was just a toaster. But,t his one has all the bells and whistles and it is well worth it. We love toasted bagels, and this toaster toasts the inside perfectly, yet leaves the outside chewy like it should be. We love the defrost feature which thaws out a waffle or toaster pastry before it actually toasts it. No more days of black crusty waffles on the outside that are still cold and rock hard in the center. We have owned our Breville CT70XL Ikon 2-Slice Toaster for nearly a year. It works flawlessly and once you evaluate what level of toasting fits the type of "toastable" that you're inserting into the machine, you end up with a perfect result every time.
