We have owned our Breville CT70XL Ikon 2-Slice Toaster for nearly a year. It works flawlessly and once you evaluate what level of toasting fits the type of "toastable" that you're inserting into the machine, you end up with a perfect result every time. The toaster automatically "sleeps" itself when not in use and the buttons and handles are very solid and well made. this toaster is simply the best toaster we have ever had, after trial and error, we found the correct setting and every time it does its job to prefection. The toaster itself is very attractive and is a great addition to our kitchen....its also enjoyable to just stand and watch it work.....its become a toy. I was looking for a self-lowering toaster and finally found it in the Breville. The handy browning control permits a very easy and convenient way to adjust the toasting, and it does a great job with bagels. The bread lowers whisper-quiet and beeps when done. I like the peek feature which lifts the bread so that you can check its progress.
