I've only had it two days. I've barely sat on it (no complaints) but I've slept both nights comfortably. It is firm. I think the fabric has a nice feel and the backside reminds me of a baby's car seat, which does seem to keep the mattress from sliding around. It's construction leaves me disappointed. While I appreciate that it can be disassembled for cleaning, I believe you will mostly destroy it and best plan on purchasing some new batting to replace the "Blended Cotton Felt" that makes up a whopping 84% of this product. Not what I expected but will do the trick as a spare bed for guests. I purchased the grey futon mattress for a frame that I got elsewhere. It is full size and the fit is perfect. We purchased the 8” inch version in blue. As far as having an inexpensive futon mattress goes- this one does the job Updated review after 2 months of use: it was great brand new but after two months the side of the mattress we sit on is now about 3 inches thick. So I would not recommend if you intend this for a lot of use. It’s probably fine in a guest room that doesn’t get sat on very much. I bought this innerspring futon mattress to refresh a 20 year old futon frame. I had been looking for a while, and I was concerned about buying without trying it first. This one surpassed my expectations. OMG—what a difference! It’s so comfortable. You can’t feel the futon frame through the coils (I could feel them in my old futon mattress). I LOVE the blue color! The futon is on an enclosed porch where I have had countless Zoom meetings. This will make those meetings much more comfortable. It will also be a great place to catch a nap or read a good book. This futon mattress is made in the USA—a definite plus. It is a 1-sided mattress (as advertised). There’s a seat side and a back side in the seated position (I originally had it backwards and my feet did not hit the floor but flipping it 180 degrees fixed that issue). There’s a zipper around the mattress (so you can see the “guts”???). The material is nice—polyester with a look/feel of linen. The back side is brown microfiber. I’m not thrilled with the plastic buttons (that other reviewers have mentioned), and I hope they last. I’m happy with my purchase. I was very unsure about this purchase but the reviews were mostly positive. Our futon is some 30 plus years old, frame is in great shape but mattress has never been a joy. I had replaced the futon with a used dual recliner that being to show it's age, felt a new futon mattress was the most economical route. So I took the plunge and ordered this mattress. Upon delivery I was still uneasy but I unpacked the mattress and reassembled the futon. To say this mattress exceeded expectations would be a large understatement!! It fit's our futon frame perfectly and the comfort in the seated and bed position is most impressive. I fell asleep on it after work one night and it was one of the best nights sleep I've had in awhile and best ever on this futon!! Even my wife was quite impressed with the fit, feel and comfort. It took the mattress 20-30 minutes to fully expand and settle itself after unpacking and there was no unpleasant odor associated with the packing or newness of the mattress in our experience.
