The barstool is the height it claims to be (we purchased other barstools that weren't the advertised height!). It was very simple to assemble because the base and top were pre-assembled. Not only was I able to get the height I needed, but I was able to pick out the metal finish and seat covering I wanted. I did the sun bronze finish with the nairobi multi sueded cushions and that compliments my brown and golden granite counter perfectly. And the swivel adds that extra pop. Was this helpful? Yes / No
