Assembly required-go slow, can't rush this. The finish is not distressed since it is not real wood, but a simulation dabbled brown paint. Plain black would look better. No real instructions, just diagrams for assembly. The push bolts and tap in pins are the only things holding it all together. I have it in a permanent location, but if you move it a lot, I would add additional corner bracing ,and wood bracing in the back. It looks ok for the price paid, but a factory made piece is best for long term use.Looks good on a budget, and a heavy piece, so free shipping a plus. |

Great piece for the price! My wife and I are very happy with the look of this stand. It is pretty heavy and feels very sturdy. I was looking for something that would hold all of my electronics (TiVo, receiver, HTPC, Wii and all its accessories, wireless router, UPS, and speakers [TV is hung on the wall above]) but also looked good. If anyone has any heat concerns, like I did, I would not be worried. I just popped out all the perforated openings on the back and have been checking heat build up from time to time and so far everything seems to be fine. For the price this is very functional (my most important factor) and looks really nice (my wife's most important factor) so we are both happy. I put it together by myself and it took me about an hour and a half from the time I opened the box until I had everything together. I laid all the pieces out and checked everything with the manual to make sure I received everything and I did so I started putting it together and it went together pretty easily. Like everyone else stated there are no instructions, just pictures, however every piece was numbered and I felt the pictures were adequate. Just look at where the precut/drilled holes are in the wood and match that up to the pictures and you will be just fine. There could be some improvements such as a tougher laminate; seems to scratch pretty easily but nothing a black sharpie won't fix. It only scratched when I was dragging the equipment in and out to get everything wired together; I probably could have been more careful knowing ahead of time that it would scratch easily. I wish the shelf pegs fit into the holes tighter; when first setting the shelves up the pegs kept falling out as I would adjust the shelves. However after putting some weight on them from the electronics I felt they were plenty sturdy and the shelving would be fine. I wish some of the cam locks were a bit tighter; I felt some of the holes they set in were just a little too big, but I just added some wood glue to help keep them tightened. I may have dropped one star for some of those things had I paid more than I did, but once again the value for the money would be hard to beat with this TV stand! I would buy from Tech-Craft again. Also this was my first purchase through Wayfair and I have to say I was very impressed with their website, service, and free, speedy shipping! |

nice looking, but not very durable The bottom of this product is poorly engineered. If you attempt to slide the cabinet away from the wall temporarily, the unfinished support beam snags the carpet and rips off. |

Great product. Product Review I love this tv stand. It is nice quality and looks very attractive. It is quite sturdy, and I expect it to last long term. I did hire a handy man to put it together (something I would normally do myself) because it is too bulky and heavy for a 70 yr old female. :-)Otherwise, a good do-it-yourselfer could manage. The storage is roomy and holds all my tv/stereo componants with space to spare. Service Review Arrived very quickly. Delivery guy left the box standing up next to my garage and quickly left. I had to get help to get it inside, but one person might be able to "walk" it. |

Great Product Product Review I received and put this stand together by myself. Took me a while(about 2 1/2 hours), but looks great and is sturdy. Would have been put together sooner if there had been two people, but I didn't have any help. I'm not real handy and am 65 years old. So if I can do it anybody can do it. Service Review The delivery was ontime and even though the box was pretty well beaten up there was no damage to the contents. |

Great looking piece. This entertainment console is both functional and elegant. There is enough space for CD's (AND my husband's vinyl collection) behind the glass doors. It has a contemporary look while still remaining a solid and substantial piece of furniture that will grace our living room for years to come. |
