Taylor & Ng 5 Piece 14" Preseasoned Flat Bottom Wok Set - 12172

OK, pre-seasoned is an interesting term. Whatever is on this wok is less "seasoning" and more "horrible, plastic-y, nasty, bullet-proof coating" The stuff gets gooey on the heat and gums up your cooktop. I spent a good couple of hours with abrasive steel pads and elbow grease to get the coating off so I could then put a proper seasoning on the it and so it wouldn't stick to my cooktop. Next time I'd buy an unseasoned wok and make better use of the two hours over a a couple of beers.

After re-seasoning this wok, it was sensational. I've cooked many meals and even forgotten to turn it off. Very durable and definitely worth the money.

I wish they would have included more receipes.

Good design; rather heavy to handle but realise its a carbon steel product; use it mainly for all types of stir fries. Nice appearance.

Nice contact with my porcelain stovetop, doesn't move around, great depth so veggies aren't flying out. Love it!!

My wok arrived fast and in perfect condition. It was much nicer than I really thought it would be for the price. Nice looking, good weight and large. I think I will get a lot use out of it. Love the utinsils and lid that came with it too. Amazing price for suce a great piece of cookware.

Have use the wok 4 times already and am happy with it. It took a little work to get the protective coating off the cooking surface but the instructions indicated so. I have had a round bottom wok for years and have always wanted a flat bottom to use on my gas range, alot easier than using the support ring. Thank you, Steve

Delivery was timely and package arrived in good shape.

used it once, Had to strip off the factory seasoning and reseason the wok, it detailed a lot of work. re-seasoned the wok 3 times now it is perfact mfg: needs to ship unseasoned and let to byer season the wok them selfs. it is very hard to strip off factory seasoning, very sticky

great for stir fry

We had Chinese guests who wanted to cook stir fry for us, so I ordered this wok -- even they thought it was great. Follow directions to season it, and prepare it for cooking and you can't go wrong. It was the best stir fry meal I've ever had. It did a great job.
