Although I measured when ordering I was surprised to see how large this was once it was assembled. What an awesome piece of furniture for the money! It's quite sturdy and seems well made, certainly well enough for holding large flat screen TV's. My son actually uses it for a large flat screen computer monitor which he uses while sitting on the edge of his bed. The screen is at the perfect height for use with his Wacom Tablet, so his neck is happy. We also got the matching desk which butts up against the TV stand and makes an L-shaped work station for him. The desk is higher than the stand which is perfect for him. He stores his computer tower, etc...under the desk. The TV stand has some nice cubbyholes and drawers for his other electronic needs. It has been very useful. We have had it for over a month now. The only cons I can think of are the difficult assembly. It wasn't complicated just time consuming and heavy. It took 2 people. The other thing is the fact that the back is not finished. In our case the back is the first thing you see when you walk into the room. It would have been nice to have that be black to match. There are also holes in the back which are obviously necessary. I think I would have positioned them a little lower. That's about it for negatives. Overall I am very pleased to find something this big and sturdy, in the correct color and with matching furniture, for the price it was offered."..."  Read more

I purchased the Bedford Entertainment Stand from Racks & Stands to house A/V components for a multi-media room I built in my formerly unfinished basement. The Stand is well-package with foam and foam sleeves between each piece, but suffered some damage in transit. Fortunately, the damaged pieces were able to be fixed with a little wood glue and black spray paint, and are located in the back or underneath the Stand, so they aren't visible when the Stand is fully assembled. Another thing to note is that the locking cams are made of a white metal that breaks easily if overtightened. Since the cams hold the Stand together, it's important that they be tight for stability. The manufacturer includes extra parts, includng a cam, so you can break one without worry. Assembly was easy, following the manufacturer's diagram, and only required a Phillips screwdriver and a rubber mallet to tap the parts into place. Since the knobs are a focal point, I upgraded the provided knobs with higher-quality knobs from my local home improvement store for $10. There are holes in the lower portion of the back of the Stand for running cable. I'm not sure if I can run cable from the top shelf down through this hole, since the top shelf extends to the back, so it may be necessary to bore holes in the upper portion of the back of the Stand to accomodate cables for top shelf components. Not a big deal. In light of the minor repairs, it took a little more than 2 hours to assemble. Once assembled, the result is a stylish and functional piece of furniture that has the look of furniture costing hundred of dollars more. All things considered, this Stand is a very good value for the money. Since my LCD is on the wall, and the Stand is doing nothing more than housing components, I can see it lasting for years to come."..."  Read more

I searched the internet, retail, and wholesale stores for a TV stand for my 55 flatscreen TV in Rhode Island. I found a beautiful one at Wayfair (www.tvstands.com). I was so pleased that I helped my sister-in-law order one for her flatscreen TV She was so pleased that I helped her daughter order a TV stand for her home. Then when I arrived at our winter residence in Florida, I immediately ordered the Castillo Corner Wood TV console for my 42 flatscreen TV . Now I am about to help my parents find and order one for their condo. Each TV console is an attractive piece of furniture, easy to assemble, and a great value, There is no reason to go anywhere else!"..."  Read more

I bought this product as my tiny tv stand needed to be replaced badly as it was not fitting with the design I was changing my bedroom to and it was succumbing to age and falling apart. Also this price I felt was great considering that this is made of real wood, not cheapy particle board that can`t handle the weight of books, let along a 22in tube tv.I`ve had it built for over 24 hours now and I am quite happy with it. Despite it being come a completely different set, it looks great with my canopy bed and chest. It holds up my tv just fine and handles my big mainecoon-mixed cat jumping up on it. If it passes those tests, then it`s good enough for me!HOWEVER...The cams it comes with are very cheap. They easily warped and snapped. We had to go to [...] and get new ones and replaced every single cam this tv stand came with - I highly recommend doing so before you buy, save yourself trouble! With the cheap ones on, the stand was falling apart with my cat jumping on it. No good if you want to put a large weighted tv on it. With the cams replaced, we were good to go. You would need the 15x12.5 sized cams - check the package size indication of the cam to be sure you get the right size.Another note, if you have carpet on the floor, don`t try to move the stand very much unless you are strong enough to lift this heavy item up off the carpet. We were moving the stand from the carpet piece I had (which covers half my floor) to the non-carpet area and the support leg (it goes on the bottom of the stand in the middle to give extra support of the weight it would sustain) snapped off at the screw so it`s beyond repair. This isn`t an issue for me since I don`t plan on putting a 60in tv on this or pile a bunch of stuff so for me personally, I can go without the support leg, but someone else may need that.To sum up, the only problems this had was that the cams should be replaced and don`t try to move this across the carpet unless you are able to lift it completely off the carpet. Otherwise, you`ll be golden and would be happy with this piece. I do recommend this product but keep caution of those cams!
