We bought this stand for a 58" plasma TV and the size is perfect.
Pros:
- Nice looking
- Seems sturdy and high quality
- Cabinets have plenty of room for A/V components. I stuffed in a DVD player, Blu-ray player, stereo receiver, CD player, tape deck, video game console and still had spare room for storage of other items.
- Back panels come out easily for initial hookup and wiring of components. Flip-up panel on top makes it easy to get to at least some of the connections.
Cons:
- The color was distinctly darker than the picture shown on the web. Picture makes it look like a light-wood tone. The one we received is a darker tone. I didn't see an array of wood tones offered for this model on the web site, so I'm guessing this is the only shade it comes in.
- Only comes with two adjustable shelves, one for each cabinet. Would be nice to have a couple of additional shelves.
- Depending on how your TV sits on its base, it may sit on top of the flip-up panel on the top of the stand, meaning you won't be able to open the top panel with your TV sitting centered on top of the stand. Therefore, using the flip-up panel will require you to slide your TV forward to get access. Not a big hassle it you are not going to need access to the wiring of components frequently."..." Read more
