I was looking for a tv stand that wasn't to bulky or a piece of furniture since it was going next to a heavy wood and stone fireplace. The area has a soft corner and I wanted it as far back as I could. This tv stand fit the bill. It isn't to deep and the corners are cut off enough to get it as far back as I liked. The directions were very easy to understand and everything was well marked. I wasn't intrested in mounting my tv so I was a little concerned that the mounting bracket would show above the tv set but my 46" tv covered it fine. I was also looking for some type of coverage for the cords and the full lenght mounting device does the job nicely. My home is neither modern or contempery but the openness of this stand lets it blend in not stand out. This stand is perfect for those who want one stand for all their components and TV. Currently have 46" Sony LCD TV mounted, Receiver, 400 disk CD-Player, X-box 360, PS3, DVD-R unit, and my cable box on this thing with the top shelf holding only speakers/random stuff. The wires are hidden well up the back and secured in place (cable ties are your friend) thanks to the plethora of holes. Use to have a component stand and a table which my TV was sitting on. Now I have this unit and floor space! My TV was also situated against the three windows in my living room rendering them practically useless. This stand lets the light through into my living room. It does take a couple of hours to put this thing together and I recommend having a partner when you do. Totally worth it!"..."  Read more

Just put this TV stand in my new apartment and I think it looks great. Assembly was straightforward and the build quality seems pretty solid. There's enough space for a receiver and components on the shelves and the design of the stand allows for placement in the center of a wall or a corner. The TV mount feels really sturdy. It rotates left and and right but does not tilt up and down, which was fine for me because you can place the mount at different heights to get the right TV height."..."  Read more

This stand is perfect for a flat panel TV. I mounted a 46" plazma and was concerned if the stand was study enough to safely carry the weight without tipping. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy this stand is built and it has a nice modern appearance as well. The best part was the assembly. This was by far the best illustrated and easy to assemble kit of anything I've ever put together. Every part was clearly identified and easy to find. There are extra parts for hanging virtually every type of flat panel TV. Assembly time was exactly as stated. The vertical height is easily adjusted and the left to right swival feature is convenient too. The only feature I'd change is the dark black shelves. While they are very heavy and sturdy, the black shows every speck of dust and frequent cleaning is needed."..."  Read more
