Its a beautiful stand. The finish matches the picture you see on web, so its a realiable color match. I am using this in my bedroom. The stand itself is short, so unless you have a low profile footboard, you will need to get a taller stand. Other than that, it would be perfect for the living room. The two center compartments are large enough for a small home theater system. The side compartments are good for storing movies, or other accessories but not much else.
