Heats my entire small home very well from Rockport, TX on 11/15/2014 – Verified Buyer
My 750 sq ft cottage is on the southern Gulf Coast and is open concept with each room opening into the main living area and never had central air or heat. Winters here are mild but occasionally we do get down to freezing. Used this unit yesterday and interior temp went from 45F to 70F in about 1 1/2 hours and has maintained a steady temp throughout the night, which got down to 35F. It's 40F outside now and I'm barefoot and comfortable. It plugs right into my 240V outlet for my window unit air conditioner. I am quite happy with it. It is small and easy to move so I can easily store it in a closet when it is not being used. It has a few small rattles but they don't bother me. (I had purchased a really lovely Dynamic Infrared Heater that claimed to heat up to 1000 sq ft. but when I used it the first time, after 4 hours, the temp outside had warmed up more than the inside.) Works better than I expected really. Great value. Not really a con, but I wish there was an option with a more decorative cabinet and casters since this sits in the middle of my living space.

heater much better than anything else from lake ozark misoouri on 12/07/2010
i ahve tried other heaters when my furnace went out. i tried 2 eden pure heaters and they didn't heat house very well. so i installed 240v baseboard heaters throughout home. one 6 footer in each bedroom and one 8 foot 2000 watt in the living room. they worked great everywhere ntil the temps get down to 20 and 30's. at those and colder temps my living room heater struggles to keep up. so i though i would try this tpi heater. since it's twice the wattage. guess what? it works a just like a furnace. it's 15 outside right now. the tpi runs a few minutes to warm up area then when the therostat sees temp where it needs it shuts down. usually for about 10 to 15 minutes. so, this thing doessn't have to run much. i have a 800 sq foot area to heat and this thing doesn't struggle at all. i also notice, the baseboard heaters in the three bedroms that i have , don't seem to run as much. so, i would defintely recommend. i purchased 1 from Wayfair.[...]. then purchased a second for my shop. great product.oh, buy the way, unit that you will receive is actually an updated model with a better look

good, but dated style and functionality from Boston, MA on 11/21/2010
Overall this heater does a good job of accomplishing the basic task of heating and is still likely to be the best of the models I looked at.Pros: solidly built; puts out lots of heat. Cons: the style is a bit dated looking, though better than the photos would suggest (the paint is not so drab looking); the fan on mine was a bit noisy like it had a rattle, but still quiet enough for a residential setting (perhaps better QA is needed[...]).I was disappointed that a heater in this price range (over $200 MSRP) doesn't come with a digital thermostat and a variable fan speed and power output controller. The provided thermostat is just a knob with min/max markings, where you set it to max, wait for the desired temperature to be reached, then you slowly turn the knob down until it shuts off. It'll then maintain that temperature.I think the fan operates at the same speed in both high and low positions, but the power output varies. (The manual doesn't specify.) A more modern design would not only vary the fan speed automatically, but also vary the power output, so that the temperature can be maintained while using the least power and making the least noise.Lastly, this product does require a 240 V outlet, which most people won't have. Consider that you'll get almost as much heat (10,240 BTU vs. 13,650 BTU) from a pair of 1500 W 120V heaters, though you'll need two separate circuits (breakers) to run them, which you might have in a kitchen or if you distribute them across a couple of rooms.

It was exactly what you said it would do. from San Antonio, TX on 12/29/2014 – Verified Buyer
This heater is excellent. You sell great products! There was not assembly and very easy to operate. Have not found anything that I'm unhappy about as of yet.

Big heat in a small package! from Wolcott, CT on 05/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
This TPI Electric Space Heater provides great heat. My husband uses it in the basement instead of turning on the furnace zone. It quickly heats up the room and maintains the temperature and has a thermostat and different fan speeds. It appears to be a safe, quality item, just as described in the ad. I would recommend this as a room heater or even as a backup for emergencies.
