There were supposed to be drilled holes and I had to drill them myself the wood kind of peel up on the back. Not the best quality with this cabinet. I have shopped with Wayfair before. Assembly was fairly straightforward, except, at the end, when I had to put the back 'wall' onto the cabinet, there were holes drilled on this back portion, but not on the cabinet's back, so I had to drill holes in order to screw in the back 'wall' of the cabinet.
