The swingset was just what my daughter wanted. This was my second Swing-and-Slide project. I built the first one for my niece 6 years ago and it is still like brand new. The beauty of both sets is you can do the math and adjust the location of the swings and accessories. I put the the swings far apart to decrease the chances of the kids intentionally banging in to each other with the swings. It was a waste of time and gas to shop at [@] They had limited selection, no help and the sets they did have in stock were quite expensive. I did later go to Home Depot to get the lumber required. I recommend buying a solid main beam instead of mending two together. And once spring gets here I plan to seal it with a deck weatherproofing agent. Instead of using 8 ft 4x4s I instead bought ten footers and sunk them in concrete. The swingset is not going to go anywhere now. I will probably add a modified tree house to it in the fall.
