"Hi Diana, the window valance in this package is included. You can select what you would like included in the extras of the set but some items do have an extra cost. As far as the comforter, it is a quilt style comforter so they are not very thick but tend to be plenty warm."Ryan from Wayfair

We have washed the set several times and it comes out of the dryer with very few wrinkles. The comforter is soft and on the less warm side.
