We bought this habitat for my daughter's hamster, and it's worked out pretty well for the most part. The wheel is super squeaky, even if you oil it. So if you live in an apartment, or plan to put it in a child's room, be aware of the noise as most rodents are naturally nocturnal... In other words, you are trying to sleep and your hamster is exercising like an Olympic runner in that wheel all night long.. squeak, squeak, squeak. I would recommend getting a different wheel, and removing the one that comes with the habitat. The habitat is very easy to clean. As well, you can buy more pipes and attachments and play areas to attach to this cage which is nice. Overall, I would recommend this habitat, but be aware of the noise of the wheel.
