Adequate… almost perfect
Michael from PA
As one of the prior reviews state, the unit has a tight vertical fit for my dinner plates, but adding another inch of room as felt needed, would make the unit too tall to fit on a traditional (18†countertop to wall cabinet) countertop. I feel this unit to be perfect for a household of 2. We are out of the house all day (Breakfast on the run, lunch at work, and dinner at home). It seems to be good enough to keep up with us. Packaging: I wouldn’t say they over-did-it, but a box in a box, and each box had its own layer of packing foam or thick cardboard. I do not see any way this item would get damaged in shipping. I would give a Plus for shipping, but sadly a Minus for borderline excessive materials. Unit installassembly: 10-15 minutes. Remove secured shelving components connect the hoses, soap, power, and wash. Noise: Not having a dishwasher in the house for over 10 years, I feel this countertop model to be quieter than most traditional dishwashers I have heard recently. It can be running with my daughter in the other room watching TV at normal volume level, and there are no complaints. End Result: Traditional dishwasher result anything with a recess on the top has a little pooling everything else is warm to the touch and 99 dry. All else, even baked on grease came off without a problem. Suggestions: Not to sound cheap, but I feel that â€Insert major dishwashing detergent name here†could offer a sample or coupon. Opening the unit, not having a dishwasher I don’t have detergent at home, I had to make a quick run to the store. Overall, a great unit for the money!
This Changed My Life!

I love my little dishwasher! It does all I need it to do. Perfect for a single person with space issues in their kitchen. I have no counter space to spare and after looking at countless kitchen carts for this item I found the perfect solution. A wide four runner Elfa cart with wheels from The Container Store is exactly the right size to hold this dishwasher and move it to the sink for washing and back to the laundry area for storage. So happy my life isn't all about a sink full of dirty dishes anymore!
Almost half a dishwasher.

If this product had an extra inch in interior height I would be giving it 4 stars. But even my modest dinner plates have to be aggressively slanted AND takes up the space of 2 plates to be washed. You would never likely get 6 place settings in here for this and other reasons. THe stacking areas for plates and bowls are enough narrower and closer together that it is difficult to place pieces and the drop-down rack to hold coffee cups means cups as in cups and saucers, not mugs. So by the time you put in a few glasses, a few mugs, a few plates leaning in to the centre and a few bowls, you are done. On the other hand, it does a reasonable job of cleaning although you have to use a powerful detergent. The filters are very fine and need at least a weekly rinsing to ensure you don't have cloudy or gritty dishes. The cycle is long, but quiet although I am noticing a bit more vibration noise from the dw after only 2 weeks of use. In short, if you have limited space and are desperate to give up washing dishes and counter-space, it's an okay purchase. I am not convinced that washing by hand and leaving to drip-dry in a rack is any worse, but my husband likes it. I do NOT do pots and pans in it, and every platebowl has to be well rinsed before placing in dishwasher. I'd give it 2.5 stars but that wasn't an option.

You get what you pay for. It is a portable unit, so don't expect it to work like a full size built in. It is the size of a microwave, so don't expect it to keep up with a family of 4 either. Household of 2, it works nice.

Works Pretty Good!

I'm surprised, but just like everyone else says it works great. It takes a while, like an hour or two, but it does fit a good amount of stuff and works really well.

This is a good compromise between the space it takes up compared a full size unit. Tightly packaged and alot less then traditional portable units in the past.
