I bought this cooktop for the kitchen in my in-law unit. The installation directions were good and I was able to put it in myself after I changed the receptical on my 220 line.
The cookware that comes with it isn't the greatest. I suppose it's passable.
When I installed it there are 2 flashing lights just above the timer. I called Summit 4 times to get help figuring out what they mean and didn't get any help. The first time I called they disconnected me. The second I was transferred to a shipping company - after 5 minutes on hold I was transferred to a voicemail box. I called again and got another voicemail box (left a message - no call back). The the 4th time I didn't bother leaving a message. The receptionist was rude and abrupt.
I did a search on Google and found that the flashing lights (hopefully) don't mean anything. There's no way to turn them off (more than slightly annoying).
But it does generate heat and I'm able to cook. Yea. I just hope I don't have any problems with it because I'm sure Summit will be worthless when it comes to helping me solve them.
