Steve Silver Furniture Hillsboro 7 Piece Dining Set

This set looks great! However I gave it three stars because quality is only medium. Chairs are higher than I expected, A larger person may not be able to sit with legs comfortably under the table. I suppose this could be fixed by raising the table with risers - which is what I think I will do - but for as much as I paid I shouldn't have to alter the table to sit at! And the chairs are uncomfortable, the cushions are odd. The second issue I had was the large gap (1/8 of an inch) on one side of the where the extension is. I looked to see if it could be tighten, but the hardware is carelessly placed leaving a gap I can't fix. So, on goes the tablecloth. Lastly, I noticed in the directions it mentions that you cannot write directly on the table. ?? I was quite shocked. I tested it and with a fair amount of pressure writing on a piece of paper will leave an imprint in the veneer. Great - I have 4 kids, and we can't do homework at the table without damaging it? So overall, it looks great, I love the rich color and style. But the quality is just not there.
