Does NOT fit any twin mattress!
Annoyed mom from Yonkers, New York.
This bed looked like the perfect bed for my two yr old. After trying it with his crib mattress I soon realized that every night I had to stuff the sides with blankets to stop him rolling from the mattress. So I went ahead and bought a standard mattress which did NOT FIT. Only a 6inch mattress would work NOT ANY TWIN as stated. I am now left with an expensive twin mattress that I can`t return. I called Wayfair and asked them to include this info but they have chose not to.....

Excellent, easy to assemble. My four year old loves it.
Great for transport-obsessed toddler

My toddler son wanted a "big boy bed" but was not comfortable in a twin-sized bed (would not even go NEAR a bunk bed)--this bed is a great compromise, with the crib-to-twin mattress flexibility (not to mention the fun racetrack available when using only the crib mattress!)The colors are great and the styling is perfect--generic enough to fit my anti-corporate tastes and close enough to "characters" like Lightning McQueen that my son identifies with it (and so will future children who don't identify with a particular movie). the stickers allow you to customize as much or as little as you want to. We haven't put the stickers on it yet and my son doesn't seem to miss them at all. I anticipate that he will continue to like this bed even as his tastes become more "grown up" because the styling is not babyish or specific to a character he may outgrow. We complemented the bed with [...] "transportation" series of sheets, quilt, pillows, valences, curtain rods, and lamp and the room looks awesome!! He absolutely loves it.Setup was difficult--configuration of end pieces made it difficult to assemble while resting on ground, but lifting caused it to come apart--frustrating but we got it eventually. My friend has the same bed for her preschooler, and they left 2 wheels off of it--he loves pretending to put them on and take them off, like a pit crew member, and this doesn't affect the stability of the bed at all (they are just ornamental). One thing I don't like is that when using the crib mattress, there's a hard plastic "gap" all the way around the bed--but we just stuffed the gaps with blankets and also use that space for parking his "friends" (stuffed animals) and books. He actually likes to cram himself into those spaces too--probably reminds him of the closed-in safety of his crib.Overall, a great quality bed with maximum flexibility at a good price. A good value.
love it just...
save your money from salinas ca

Dad from San Antonio, Texas
My boy really loves this bed and causes him to focus more on his room as playroom with front window to watch mom and dad come and go. After reading the assembly instructions I elected to bypass the setup that lets you use the crib mattress. I went straight to the toddler configuration to avoid having to reconfigure. In toddler configuration DO NOT USE a regular size mattress - ONLY use a 4" mattress; otherwise, you have no safety rails on each side. Shop any popular mattress store and you'll find one that has a 4" mattress.

We purchased this bed for our 2 yr old son as we were ready to try transitioning from the crib. It looks exactly as the picture shows it, was very simple to assemble. My son took to it without any issues and has been sleeping wonderfully in it since. We rolled-up some blankets to fill the gaps between his crib mattress and the sides....there is loads of room for stuffies and toys...Great bed for the money
My Grandson Loves it

I ordered the Stock Car Convertible Bed for my grandson so he would have a "big boy's bed" like his older brother when they came to visit. He is delighted with the new bed. The bed was easy to assemble and there were enough stickers to also decorate his brother's car bed because one side is against the wall. The bed and stickers were a hit with both boys!!
great bed for growth

We bought this bed for our 3 year old grandson. He loves it. One of the nicest things about it is they can grow with it. To save money, if parents get it when the child is smaller, they can put their existing crib mattress in it. We put a twin mattress in it since he is bigger and it works great. It makes him like being in his own bed a lot more.

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson. He keeps saying he wants to be a race car driver when he grows up. When it arrived, I decided not to wait until Christmas to give it to him. It was not hard to get him to go to bed the night my son set it up. Set-up was easy and quick. Both he and his little brother also sit on it and pretend to drive it. The price is very economical as I did a lot of comparing before deciding on this one. If their room was big enough, I would have bought 2 of them.
