It's adorable and we liked how it was open in order to watch them play. It is not feminine. We would have given a 5-star rating, but the doorbell battery housing was missing the spring to hold the battery in. After a call to Cust Service, a new housing will be shipped out within a week or two. The cottage was excellent choice for our grandsons! Was this helpful? Yes / No

They are extremely active and often climb into the house through the various windows. The little table inside may suffer since it is the weakest element of this otherwise very durable and beautiful little house. If the table survives, this will be a great playhouse for years to come. We have 4 children so we wanted something that would fit everyone and be sturdy. I am very pleased with how big and sturdy this is! If I had a complaint, it would me that you have to step into the house, making it hard to sweep out the dirt if it gets dirty outside. Other than that, we love it! She is only 14 months and I can tell this will be something she plays with for years to come. I found it very easy to assemble with a screw gun. It seems to be sturdy because the boys like to pretend they are fixing it with their tools (they have also climbed on the roof to repair it).
