Great color and not too big or heavy to lift, this pot is great for stews and is the perfect shape for you guessed it - a chicken!

this came as ordered, on the date promised. no problems! the pot itself is very nice. love the cute chicken :) cooks well. even heat..used on stove top and in oven. clean up was very easy. lid fit tight and was balanced. would consider buying one for a gift. had debated this brand vs le creuset...really think both are outstanding and either would be fine. perhaps a bit of an edge to the staub for ease of cleaning and the fact that a metal spoon would not spell disaster. i am very pleased and would recomment this to you.

Love, love, love my new oval grenadine cocotte! After trying every type of cookware available, I believe I've finally found the ultimate! I have the Williams-Sonoma 'red' saucier and love it as well but prefer this grenadine color a bit more. The two colors are very close when placed side-by-side (WS more orange-red and the grenadine more purple-red). Have only made spaghetti sauce on top of the gas range in this cocotte so far but it did a wonderful job and cleaned up well. Also have the sapphire blue saucier, which is fabulous, and plan to eventually order other Staub pieces in Aubergine and Basil. (Each piece an individual gem.) I usually don't like cooking, however, having such beautiful, functional cookware makes the tasks so much easier and enjoyable. My daughter, who wants to be an Industrial Designer, says these pots "are sexy"! P.S. Delivery to Canada was a little faster than promised with no problems in any way. Tracking worked well with great service! Would order again. Many thanks!!

I use this great looking pot for stews, soups and really for anything and everything. It cooks and heats evenly. I especially like the fact that it (somehow) vents steam even with the lid on. Nothing sticks to the bottom and it is very easy to clean.

Love this stylish cocotte. You can put this thing in the oven or use it on the stove, whatever. Great for stews and braising. It is quite heavy, as is all cast iron. Staub beats LC thanks to the metal knob; no worrying about plastic in the oven (still no clue why LC sticks to the "phenolic knob"). I keep mine on my counter; it adds a homely touch to the kitchen.

I have been looking for this for some time. Wayfairs had the best price. [...] I will be looking for other pieces of Staub and Wayfairs will be my first (and probably only) site I'll use.

After researching this product and carefully reading many reviews on the opinions of other customers I finally ordered this as a birthday present to myself. Although it took an entire month to receive it I feel it was worth the wait. It not only looks beautiful it cooks beautifully. I have even left it on my stove top for decoration. The price was a much better deal than the other French brand, Le Creuset.
