I saw a magazine pic of a coastal living room decor with vintage looking oars on the wall, a terrific look. Of COURSE Wayfair had the perfect same thing.I bought two, this one and a complimentary one (lifeboat oar). These are absolutely authentic looking, substantial, beautifully distressed and even came with hanging hooks so they can hung up horizontally on the wall, they also look great tucked in a corner in a seagrass basket. I was tired of flat pictures and wanted something three dimentional with a bit of whimsy for my wall. This piece is large enough to be noticed and is a delightful new addition to our home. My husband is always saying it is best to reach for the stars and only get the moon than to aim for a puddle at your feet and hit it every time. So this was a terrific reminder to "go for it!".
