okay, not great

Scott from Mount Pleasant, SC– Verified Buyer

Pros: sturdy, high quality steel and paint job, easy assembly, works well for pull ups and okay for leg raises.
Cons: back rest could use more cushion. When the bottom handles are mounted correctly they are too close to the back rest when doing leg raises unless you have really short arms - I'm 6ft. I turned them around to give me more space and they are still a little too close and in this orientation the handles can't be used for dips. During assembly I waited till the end to tighten all the bolts and it does not sit flat on the floor- I need to go back and loosen them all and see if I can level it at the bottom first and then tighten everything. I could not get the grip handles on the pull up pieces- I even used soapy water and 3 in 1 oil and they wouldn't go on.

Overall, for the price it is not bad but not great either.

Nice Stand

Richard E from Morris, NJ– Verified Buyer

quality was better than I expected. It fits well in my exercise room and I am glad I added this piece. Assembly (for someone like me with too many thumbs) went well. Lay out the parts and you should have no problem following the instructions with a ratchet and a wrench. I made two mistakes with bolt size use, but they were easily corrected, and I put the pull up bars in wrong, but corrected that (with the use of a rubber mallet to get them off). Bottom line: this tower is very usefull, well made, compact in size, fairly easy to assemble, and a good value

Some assembly required... what a workout

michael from Blaine, WA– Verified Buyer

I bought this product because of the unbeatable price. It is the right size/weight/color VKR for my fitness room with all exercises performed from the front. The product is guaranteed to come out of the box with many abrasions and scratches. A bit of black touch-up paint should take care of it.

The workout begins the minute you open the box. Take your time organizing all the nuts, bolts and washers by size. The instructions are also a challenge with several pages re-written and loosely inserted into the instruction booklet. Follow the amended or updated instructions. Final bit of advice would be to assemble the station loosely, tighten the bolts only after you have leveled the unit.

Good, inexpensive, I'm satisfied with it

Just some guy getting back in shape. from Los Angeles, CA– Verified Buyer

Tall, very sturdy (moves ~.5" during use), easy setup, had it for a month but it looks like it will last. Near daily use, as my schedule allows. Two minor gripes: 1) the hand grips were tough to get on, I ended up using bubble soap and twisting like mad while pulling/pushing them on. It worked, but if I hadn't started with the bubble soap, I don't think it would have worked. 2) the manufacturer changed the hardware, and I didn't get the new stuff, but when I called, they quickly got me the correct length bolts.
