We bought this specifically because it's compact and light. While our Brooklyn garden-floor apartment has a little room to spare, we didn't want something eating up permanent space like a treadmill or elliptical would. This rower is easy to store away if we have people over, or move from room to room if, say, my wife wants to row while watching tv one day but then put it back in the spare bedroom where it's out of the way. The reviews about the foot straps worried me a little, and they are weak little straps positioned awkwardly at the end of even my longer foot.... But you shouldn't be over relying on those anyway. If you pull yourself forward using the straps for leverage, your core isn't getting the workout it could be getting if you used your body to shift back forward. I started using it without strapping my feet in at all, and the workout is totally different, giving lots of work to my back, abs and lats. I still wish the straps were better positioned, but now that I'm doing it the right way, It doesn't bother me as much. The rower itself is hydraulic, so a very different feel from those spinning rowers. I probably prefer the latter, but for a cheap, light, easy to use piece of home equipment, I'm glad I bought this. Will help us get some cardio, arm/chest toning and core exercise during the cold, cold winter.
Quiet and easy to use

I never give anything a perfect score because nothing is perfect, but this is close (they just don't offer fractions of stars here). This rowing machine is so quiet that it could be used next to a sleeping baby's crib; it takes up little space when in use and barely any space in storage; and after a week it's already beginning to do the job I'd hoped it would do around my post middle-aged middle. I can't compare it to any other rowing machines because this is my first. I can say that, compared to other gym equipment I've owned, this is the best for getting every area that begins to soften up. Thanks to this rower, here's to a firmer 2015!

Not only was the purchase price ideal, the functionality of the Stamina Body Trac 1050 was everthing I expected and beyond. I've worked with it for a month now without any problems at all. The adjustable resistance cylinder and handles replicate water resistance perfectly! It's fluid motion is quiet to a whisper and that includes the seat motion as well! Close your eyes and you're out on the lake! The shipping was free and arrived as promised...precisely!
ok for the money so far...with a few concerns
Joshua from Mission Viejo, CA – Verified Buyer
Pros: somewhat solid construction, easy to assemble, easy to breakdown, low price for what you get. Cons: It squeals like a stuck pig after only two days of use, foot pedal straps are already starting to split, I am uneasy about it's long term durability Overall: I bought this to help to fill the gap at home between time on a more professional machine at the gym. I was attracted to the price and it's smaller footprint due to serious space concerns at my home. Now, I have been told that I row like a Viking (probably because my ancestors were Norweglan Vikings and Saxons) so maybe I am straining it's limitations already. However, I don't feel that is the case because I've only put about 1600 rows on it in the past two days (which I consider seriously light use). I am only about 5' 11 nowadays (hey we all shrink after 35), 185 lbs and have a size 10 shoe so it is not like I am too big for it either. I hope Wayfair or the manufacturer can send me some better straps and offer some suggestions on the squealing bit. Time will tell if it can stand up to more strenuous use.
Great machine for Getting those Reps....

The space saving features of this rower are ideal. The machine is comfortable. Takes about 40 minutes or so to put it together and it is really quiet. You can adjust the training level with one hand during your workout.
Great for entry level work out, but not as durable
Daniel from Lexington, MA – Verified Buyer
This is a great machine for what it's worth. Put together within 30 minutes so definitely not hard to assemble. After I put it together I had about 30 minutes of workout before taking this out for our dragon boat race fitness trial for our 20 team members. However during the fitness trial one of our member yank it hard and broke one of the plastic knob. It was a great entry level erg machine but definitely far from industry/gym grade
The Best Rowing Machine EVER!!!!!
Susan from Marshall, NC – Verified Buyer
The rowing machine was easy to put together. My husband was amazed at how well made the rowing machine was made. I love how you can adjust the resistance and the timer/calorie counter/number of rowing you do is so accurate. The price was amazing considering the heavy duty construction. It folds up easily and I had NO trouble with the foot pads ( I wear a size 8 shoe.) I would recommend this machine to a friend.
Great beginng machine

Easy to put together and easy to store. You have several tension levels which is nice so that you can choose how much resistance you want. My feet kept slipping out of the footrests however if you make sure to tighten the velcro straps extra tight, then it is not a problem. That is the only downside and that really isn't much in the grand scheme of things. I would buy it again and not have any hesitations.

I absolutely love this body trac glider. It's light and does not take up much room in my apartment. Does the job! Great workout when you don't have a lot of time prepping and going to the gym. It's a keeper!
