Perfect for larger crowd entertaining! from Milwaukee, WI on 05/27/2014 – Verified Buyer
My neighbor remodeled his kitchen and eliminated his dining room, but still needed somewhere to occasionally seat guests for dinner. I fell in love with this table the moment he showed it to me and had to have it! I have a dining room and table that seat 10, but host Thanksgiving (18) and a Holiday luncheon (35). I needed a spare table, but only a few times a year and didn't want a second dining table taking up all the space in my sitting room. This was the answer to my prayers!! When not in use (which is most of the time) this great height cabinet holds my frames, artwork, flowers, etc.. When in use, this gem expands to seat nine adults!!! I was worried about middle support and sturdiness, but even with all the dishes that accompany Thanksgiving dinner there were no worries!! It's easy to put together and take apart. The leaves store beautifully in perfect slots in the left cabinet and the right cabinet is a nice little storage area. The simple mission style and subtle hardware will compliment any decor! This is definitely one of my favorite pieces of furniture!!

Exceeded My Expectations from Omaha, NE on 06/05/2014 – Verified Buyer
Wow! I just received this today. The local delivery company was very polite, on time, and wasn't a problem at all for me. It's sturdier and much heavier than I was expecting for some reason - which is good! I will be using this in my home office for customer seating as the need arises, but most of the time I didn't want a huge portion of my office area to be taken up by a table. This is EXACTLY what I didn't even know I needed. The leafs fit real nicely in the left cupboard with some easy storage behind the right door (there is one shelf inside that splits that area in two). I don't have any troubles with pulling the table out, though I found it much easier to pull straight out by the legs instead of the hardware on the cabinet itself. There is one roughly 2" scratch on the top of the cabinet, so I would give the item a 4.5 star rating if I could, but it isn't a big enough of a deal to drop it all the way down to a 4 considering how pleased I am with it overall.
I also ordered a pair of the folding chairs in the Fruitwood finish and they match beautifully.

FANTASTIC option if you don't have room for a big table! from Brookline, MA on 05/19/2015 – Verified Buyer
We got this almost 3 years ago and have been so happy with this purchase! It typically sits in the hallway and is a useful place to store random stuff. We get it out for birthday parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc., when we need to seat a lot of people, and it looks really nice and does the job well. Highly recommend this if you don't have room for a big table in your everyday life but want one to use for special occasions. It looks great - much better than a row of card tables! - and is a useful little console table, too.

Great 4 NYC apartments! from Bronx, NY on 10/12/2015 – Verified Buyer
Style doesn't Feng shui w/ my modern urban furniture, but if you want to invite a large group over w/o using lots of card tables or calling a rental party ctr, this is definitely the way to go. WARNING:"All wood" means a fiberboard back & some laminate, but this beauty weighs 180lbs. Solid hardwood would be too heavy for one person to open up alone w/o wrenching a shoulder. Good purchace for the price/purpose, but wish it came in a modern sleek style.

Just What We Needed from Elk Grove Village, IL on 04/13/2014 – Verified Buyer
We are very happy with this purchase. We had downsized to an apartment and didn't know how we could have family dinners with our children and grandchildren in the small area we had. This cabinet works great and everyone is able to sit and eat at the same time. The delivery was as promised. Would recommend this to anyone with limited space.

Great things come in collapsible packages from Ontario on 12/09/2012
Stakmore makes a terrific dining room table for the space deprived home. We have a small city apartment and dinner parties with fork-food dishes was getting tedious. This table pulls out into the empty middle of our living room and using the companion Stakmore dining chairs, we can seat 7 or 8. The table mechanism is brilliant, even has a centre support leg that flips down. It was a little stiff to expand to its full length the first time, but with careful pulling on each side we were amazed at its true length! Its only downside is its veneered mdf so very heavy, but well constructed for the price. It even has storage in one half of the cabinet the other side stores the leaves needed. Brilliant idea for condos and apartments.

great for condo without dining room from Chicago on 08/04/2013
This expanding table is great! It looks like a sideboard in the living room, but it expands to seat at least 7 dinners comfortably. I got the 6 matching chairs, which tuck neatly into corner of the spare room and are very comfortable and sturdy. This is a great solution for people who like to have dinner parties but do not want to devote a whole room to a dining table. (Our dining room is now a family room.) Very well-made and well-finished.

from Piqua, OH on 01/29/2016 – Verified Buyer
I really love this item. My Mother had an almost identical item. This table is very well made. The leaves for the table are stored very securely and conveniently within the cabinet with a little extra space for dining accessories!

Nice! from Battle Creek, IA on 09/21/2015 – Verified Buyer
Had extra company two days after receiving this. It worked perfectly. Put it back together in just a couple minutes. Slides in beside the couch just right for an extra end table that's taller than the others, but works great for a reading area. Thanks!
