The stair tread installation kit was very easy to use and effective in keeping the oval stair rug treads in place with no movement even several weeks after installation. One suggestion to make the process easier would be to have the roll measured and perforated in the length of each tread, i.e 13 pieces on a roll, pre-cut to the lengthwise dimension of the rug tread."..."  Read more

I just had some hardwood floors installed and was looking to put something on the stairs, mainly because I have a dog and I didn't want him slipping and scratching the stairs. These stair treads are hard to find in Canada [...]This particular tread is quite an attractive product from Rhode Island. You do need to put in a non-slip mat underneath for grip; otherwise, the tread will slip. I just bought a few 2'X 3' inexpensive non-slip rug pads and cut them to size. The only reason I haven't given the tread a 5 star is because I just installed them so can't comment on durability or wear but initial impression is that it is a well-made product."..."  Read more

We recently removed carpeting from our stairs and had the wood floors beneath refinished. We were looking for stair treads that would keep our dogs from slipping as they went up and down the stairs, and we wanted them to be durable, practical and, frankly, not very noticeable. These fit the bill -- they're close to the color of the blond wood and because of the configuration of our stairs, the package contained more treads than we needed, so we have back-ups if we mess any of them up too badly. The braid is a little wider than we would have liked, but the treads have grown on us and we're happy with how they look."..."  Read more
