Emergency Generator in a pinch from Laceys Spring, AL on 09/11/2014 – Verified Buyer
No load waveform and regulation is poor to terrible. It is rated at 1350 Watts continious and 2000 Watts max. I hooked up an 800 Watt fan driven resistance heater, a 100 Watt battery charger, and a string of four 100 Watt light bulbs which is what I would use during an ice-strom here in Alabama. I hooked it up to a 100 pound/25 gallon bottle and expect 45 to 50 hours of continious operation from 25 gallons. It starts and runs good. I'm going to keep it. The waveform and regulation improve when the generator gets fully loaded. I would not operate anything that uses an electric motor without feeding the output of the generator into an inverter with a good front end filter. I had and used a UPS rated at 1500 Watt output and the UPS input filtering did a good job of filtering the incoming power. The output of the inverter was good enough to run the refrigerator without causing kickback problems; although the noise from the inverter humming was intolerable (ear plugs required). It was worth the price to me. Have doubts about prolonged use.

Thank God for this little Gem from Milford, PA on 11/08/2012 – Verified Buyer
This little generator provided enough electricity to run a typically refrigerator of 7amps, a small tv, a dvd player, 3 lights, a radio, an occasional 900w microwave and charged up to 5 phones during 36 hours of no power caused by Hurricane Sandy. Not only did it do that flawlessly, but it only consummed 1 and 1/4 tanks of LP during those 36 hours. It did not run during the night, but must of the days involved. It was truely a lifesaver, and were I live power outages are common, so I will definitley be using it again. Bought 2 extra LP tanks with gauges for ease of reading figuring 1 that I already had for the BBQ and 2 more would get us thru at least a week if necessary. Still have 3/4 tank and the BBQ is still full, but great thing is the gas will always be used and I'll always have the tanks filled and ready to go if necessary. Starting was relatively easy, just about 3 pulls even when in the 40's outside. Unit is very light, and went right into a utility closet when power was back up. Really love the fact that there is not gas to deal with.

Just works from Eldersburg, MD on 11/13/2012 – Verified Buyer
I ordered this generator after Hurricane Sandy (fortunately we didn't need it then). I like the idea of having a propane-fueled generator that is always ready in an emergency. This one isn't very powerful, but it's small and light so it should be easy to store out of the way. I've unpacked the generator, filled it with 14 oz of oil, and started it up. It started with one pull. It's not particularly loud (much quieter than our lawnmower). Checked to make sure we were getting power by plugging in a desk lamp. Haven't had to run it for an extended period yet. Without being about to see it first, I was a little worried about the quality of the product. After having a chance to see it, I feel much better. It looks and feels pretty well constructed. (Of course, the true test will be our first big power outage.) The manual very clearly states that this generator should not be operated in your garage or in wet conditions. It also cautions that the exhaust may be combustible, so it must be kept away from open flames. And lastly, the manual cautions you not to power any sensitive electronics (computers, TVs) with the generator. I don't think these warnings are unusual for any portable generator - just something to keep in mind if you are thinking of buying one.

Quiet and does the job from Forestdale, MA on 10/15/2014 – Verified Buyer
We purchased this based on the other reviews and we were not disappointed. We used it on my first camping trip and it powered the camper lights and I was able to dry my hair. It was quiet and efficient - we used 20 lbs of propane over 3 days.

What a find! from Rocky River, OH on 06/17/2015 – Verified Buyer
Had no idea that I could find a deal on a portable generator on Wayfair. Great value for priceless piece of mind. Pros: Price; Piece of Mind w/o hassle of having to haul bulky item home from a big box store. FAST SHIPPING. Cons: Purchased "just in case" and know it will *eventually* be put to great use, but still had to find a place to store. Had to buy propane tank locally, would have been nice to purchase at same time.

I like it. from Glendale, AZ on 08/11/2015 – Verified Buyer
I have not had a chance to use it very much yet. I ran out and bought a quart of synthetic oil for it (figured only the best for it) filled it up and when I went to start it there was and little tag on top that said don't use synthetic oil? Lol. So I started it and about 10 pulls later it fired right up. I let it run for a few minutes and shut it down. Need to go buy a quart of conventional oil.

fantastic little unit from patchogue, NY on 09/12/2014 – Verified Buyer
this unit started on the 5th pull, I intend to use it just for emergencies for the fridge and furnace if necessary. runs quieter than my lawn mower and it weighs less than my compound miter saw which means when i'm done with it I can throw it into the basement when i'm done. i'm EXTREMELY pleased with it since it uses propane and I don't have to worry about the gas going bad when not in use

Sportsman Generator from Indiana on 10/01/2014 – Verified Buyer
I purchased this unit for unexpected power outages. Although it is not the largest capacity generator out there it will run more than enough items: refrigerator, some lights etc. It seems to be high quality unit. Pros: LP gas is much easier to store and doesn't go bad like gasoline. Cons: Does not include propane bottle, but like most people you probably have a spare anyway. Overall I give it high marks and would recommend it!

Sportsman 2000 watt lpg generator from Washington State on 12/15/2013 – Verified Buyer
Wayfair free shipping was super fast. I filled the generator with oil, connected propane hose and tank and it started with 4 pulls. Ran it for 3 hours with a 800 watt heater for a load. Seems to be a good little unit so far. It isn't too bad as far as loudness goes. Good deal for $$$.
