Flambeau Single Gun Case Flambeau
Flambeau Single Gun Case

Before I purchased this Gun Case I researched many Gun Cases By Plano, I read all the reviews and didn't like what I was reading. I happened to read one review comparing the Plano Gun Case against the Flambeau Gun Case and after reading that review I was sold. I received my case on time and in excellent condition. The case is well made and uses a piano hinge system. The foam inside the case is very nice,it is nice and thick. That was one of the selling points of this case. There is plenty of room inside this case, I have a Gamo Whisper w/Scope which is about 46in. long and I still have room for my cleaning kit and six tins of pellets. This is a very nice case for the price. Get It!"..." Read more

TZ Case Value-Tech Double Rifle Case 55" H x 17" W x 7" D TZ Case
TZ Case Value-Tech Double Rifle Case 55" H x 17" W x 7" D

I bought this case to take two rifles (one scoped and one iron sites) to Texas for a Hog Hunt. I also placed my Revolver (629) in the case to the side of the rifles (rifles placed slightly offset to accommodate the pistol). All the materials are good quality and the "basic" design of the case is good. It is certainly adequate for two scoped rifles. Here is where the case could (and should) be improved. The length of the case naturally causes some twisting at the ends to lock it up since you have to press down firmly against the stout foam to conform to the firearms. Well this can cause the ends of the case to slightly bend up. I cured this problem by buying two 1 inch lashing straps and placing them near the corners. TSA had no problem with the lashing straps. The manufacturer could do two things to improve this case. First, the manufacturer could put one more hinge and one more latch on the case so the hinges and latches could be placed another inch or so closer to the corners (or better yet the extra latch could be placed closer to the corner on the side of the case). Second, the manufacturer could use a better "style" latch. The latch is good quality but it seems like it may open to easily and the case has to be perfectly aligned for it to close "easily." Of course, padlocking the outer latches made opening relatively impossible but why not lessen the risk for the other latches? The bottom line is that I am happy with the purchase but I was not super happy, like "Woo Hoo! I Scored." The reason I bought the case is that it seemed to be the most suitable case for airline travel for under a hundred dollars. My lashing strap fix and use of TSA pad locks worked just fine. If you want to spend around ninety dollars on a case this is the best one I have seen. If the manufacture heeds my advise I think most guys would open the box and say after spending less than a hundred bucks...."Woo Hoo! I scored""..." Read more

Boyt Harness Boundary Lakes Rifle Case with Accessory Pocket Boyt Harness Co.
Boyt Harness Boundary Lakes Rifle Case with Accessory Pocket

I've owned a 46" for over a decade and a 44" for less than a year. Best over the counter soft cases I've found, and they lock just fine if you slip a pistol case padlock through the 2 zipper pull eyes. Also, the shoulder sling means I can walk all 3 cases to the bench in 1 trip. In my opinion they wear like iron and protect the gun well because I've used the same one as my truck case since I started muzzleloader hunting in '96. But,,,the side pocket is too small, especially when compared to the bellows pocket on their Signature case. The toe also has no boot on it to prevent wear, and you either stand it on it's toe or on it's zipper. And if you compare the 10 year old case against the 10 month old case, the difference in fasteners and leather is appalling. Boyd used to build the finest soft case at any price, they now build them to a price point. But you can't get a better designed and constructed soft case unless you go custom."..." Read more

NcSTAR Scope-Ready Gun Case in Black NcSTAR

I recently ordered this NcSTAR Scope-Ready Gun Case through Wayfairs website. I had never even heard about Wayfair prior to placing my order, but after stumbling upon the site after searching 2 days for a case in this length that was a soft-sided style, I placed the order and I am extremely glad I did. This case completely meets my criteria and the zipper stitching used on this gun case is more than adequate for my needs. In addition to all that, the great price on this gun case was extremely affordable compared to others I priced of similar style and size on several outdoorsportsman websites."..." Read more
