We have only one heat control for our furnace. We bought the Vortex Heater to warm the room we spend most of our time in. We were able to turn down the furnace and save money by not heating the whole house. Our electric bill didn't go up much and our gas bill went down! Please use in correct size space! I use this product in a medium sized bed room (comfortably 20' x 15') during the winter so we can turn down the heat at night. The botton line is that the heater just works. The controls are on top and have easy to use buttons to select the different functions: a low and high heat setting, a set temperature, and monitor temperature. The best aspect of the unit is that it is quiet. The down side are that the unit doesn't have a remote so one has to bend down and turn it on and off. The LCD used to view the heat setting, temp, etc is not backlit so it is difficult to view at night. High price. But I think it is worth the price."..."  Read more
