This heater is a great product. I bought this heater for my laundry room that is right off my kitchen and there is no heat in that room. I was skeptical to purchase this heater because of the small size. It gets very cold in the laundry room as I live in an older home and it is not insulated in that area of the house. This unit heats this room very quickly and maintains a constant warm temperature which in turn keeps the air in my kitchen much warmer (no door between these two rooms) and my kitchen floor does not seem as cold. I have two other heaters that are not ThermaFlo Heaters and I definitely like this heater much better for the comfort especially for a small unit. It does a great job. I definitely would recommend this heater if you are in the market for a new heater."..."  Read more

PROS 1) puts out a fair amount of heat for a small heater, 2) has two heat settings plus fan only (why the fan only is beyond my imagination but its there if you want it), 3) has settings for the fan at various points so it will cycle on and off more or less frequently as needed. CONS takes a while to warm up the room so dont expect instant heat I like the old fashioned heaters with glowing wires and forced fan. My kids grew up laying in front of them every winter morning and they heated quickly and really warmed the room. You cant really find them anymore. The new and improved heaters dont put out much heat and I am always disappointed. My sister and mother have the oil or ceramic heaters to save on energy costs - WORTHLESS. You cant feel the warmth unless you actually touch it and it does NOTHING to heat the room. I bought this heater as an emergency since freezing temps were predicted before we turned on the heat for the winter and I thought if we sat really close it would keep us from freezing for a few days. I was shocked when it actually made my bedroom toasty. My son noticed the difference walking from one room to the other. He made me get one for his room. It did not do so much in the living room, kitchen, breakfast nook area which is open and has two french doors and two windows. But I learned the trick set the alarm for 15 minutes early and go turn it on and get back in bed. Then the room is fine. In fact, I am writing the review today because our central heater went out last night and it is snowing. I have both heaters in the large open living area and I had to turn them down. It was getting too warm. I had to recommend this little heater. It is performing impressively."..."  Read more

We have been using the heater for about 5 weeks now and its working as advertised. The heater is small and quiet, but it does produce ample heat. We are using the heater in our kitchen area (16X16) which also has 3 rooms off. Although those rooms do not receive much of an effect it does help. Also, we turn the furnace on in the morning to remove the overnight chill and then shut the furnace down for the rest of the day. Using this heater and a Life Smart in the living room works well for us. To date the temperature has not gone below 12F, so it remains to be seen how well it will perform below 0F and the Hawk blowing from the north. LJA PS.....We prefer the Dr. Heater over the Life Smart we purchased last year, as the Dr. Heater is more compact and emits more heat."..."  Read more

i ahve tried other heaters when my furnace went out. i tried 2 eden pure heaters and they didn't heat house very well. so i installed 240v baseboard heaters throughout home. one 6 footer in each bedroom and one 8 foot 2000 watt in the living room. they worked great everywhere ntil the temps get down to 20 and 30's. at those and colder temps my living room heater struggles to keep up. so i though i would try this tpi heater. since it's twice the wattage. guess what? it works a just like a furnace. it's 15 outside right now. the tpi runs a few minutes to warm up area then when the therostat sees temp where it needs it shuts down. usually for about 10 to 15 minutes. so, this thing doessn't have to run much. i have a 800 sq foot area to heat and this thing doesn't struggle at all. i also notice, the baseboard heaters in the three bedroms that i have , don't seem to run as much. so, i would defintely recommend. i purchased 1 from Wayfair.[...]. then purchased a second for my shop. great product.oh, buy the way, unit that you will receive is actually an updated model with a better look"..."  Read more
