PROS 1) puts out a fair amount of heat for a small heater, 2) has two heat settings plus fan only (why the fan only is beyond my imagination but its there if you want it), 3) has settings for the fan at various points so it will cycle on and off more or less frequently as needed.

I like the old fashioned heaters with glowing wires and forced fan. My kids grew up laying in front of them every winter morning and they heated quickly and really warmed the room. You cant really find them anymore. The new and improved heaters dont put out much heat and I am always disappointed. My sister and mother have the oil or ceramic heaters to save on energy costs - WORTHLESS. You cant feel the warmth unless you actually touch it and it does NOTHING to heat the room. I bought this heater as an emergency since freezing temps were predicted before we turned on the heat for the winter and I thought if we sat really close it would keep us from freezing for a few days. I was shocked when it actually made my bedroom toasty. My son noticed the difference walking from one room to the other. He made me get one for his room. It did not do so much in the living room, kitchen, breakfast nook area which is open and has two french doors and two windows. But I learned the trick set the alarm for 15 minutes early and go turn it on and get back in bed. Then the room is fine. In fact, I am writing the review today because our central heater went out last night and it is snowing. I have both heaters in the large open living area and I had to turn them down. It was getting too warm. I had to recommend this little heater. It is performing impressively."..." Read more
