Although there were many pieces, the instructions were clear, and all parts were present and everything fit beautifully together. It took some time, but in the end the finished product looked great.

When reading the reviews most were for young children, so I was a little worried about buying this for my 7 year old, but it is very sturdy and solid, it doesn't move around at all. Assembly was easy for the most part, though assembling the drawers was a big pain...if that part were redesigned, it could be a lot easier! We were also missing about...16 screws, but we went to the hardware store and bought them, luckily they had just what we needed. I would recommend this to anyone, very good for the price!!

My mother has just moved to a small studio apt in the city. We purchased this along with an eco-lux 8" memory foam mattress (which is incredible y by the way). The headboard went together fairly quickly, while the bed frame took a bit longer. It was definitely a two person job, as I needed a second pair of hands to hold one peice steady and I attached another. The drawers are half the bed width, leaving room for storing large items (like suitcases) under the platform, behind the drawers. The piece looks very nice and I was greatly impressed in how quickly it arrived ( just a little over a week) with the free shipping option. However, the brown plastic caps used to cover the screw heads do cheapen what could otherwise pass for a high quality peice of furniture. This said - it' the best value for the price, I was able to find anywhere and I would certainly recommend it.

I put this bed together in about 3 hours, fairly easy, good instructions. It looks great. I really like the way the drawers are put together. Usually the bottoms fall out on DIY furniture but these look like they are going to withstand the weight of clothes and what ever else my son puts in them. They were a little cockeyed when I put them in but some minor adjustments and they were fine. Good value. Very pleased with this purchase and the delivery time was fast.

Took 2 days to put together but worth the frustration because it looks great and very sturdy for my 3year old son.

That's very disappointing given the entire point of purchasing a captain bed was to have drawer space underneath for books and toys. My 3 year old is frustrated daily with how hard they are to open. Would not recommend this bed.

This inexpensive piece is so very well constructed I think it may actually stand up to the abuse it is in store for! I'm usually very hesitant when it comes to MDF/particle furniture, but this one is very structurally sound and easy to assemble.
