"Hello Jasmine. This is a dark cherry, but it's not too close to mahogany as it's not quite that dark. South Shore calls it a sumptuous cherry because its a warm and inviting tone, though, it is a little darker than your standard cherry finish."

Anonymous from Metro Detroit, MI	1.0 1/10/2012 Must Micro-manage your order! Product Review Ordered cherry - received something that looks more like walnut. As a matter of fact, it comes with a walnut marker for correcting minor nicks and scratches. The product description does not indicate that it is for a platform bed. Luckily we had some nuts and bolts of our own to facilitate attaching the headboard to the bed frame. This is not very sturdy, but for the money, what did we expect Not worth disassembling to return, so it will serve as a temporary fix until we find the right headboard. Service Review Phew! Stinky! We found out that we needed to micro-manage our shipment. We paid for 3 day delivery. Turns out that 3 day delivery really means 6 days...3 days to retrieve the product from the warehouse and get it ready for shipping and then 3 days for the actual shipping. The shipper was notified of the pick up on 121611 and we received delivery on 12.2811. Oops! Missed Christmas! Oh, and getting a refund on the expedite fee required several emails. It is nothing like the color in the picture shown. I am very disappointed. Service Review It was left outside, even though I was at home. k willow from north vernon, in	3.0 9/23/2011 Its not eye popping Product Review I got this headboard for my master bedroom. I was a little disappointed but, you get what you pay for. The color was not what I thought it would be. It is all particle board. and it is unstable. I liked it because it was simple and small. It might be ok for a guest bedroom. I put it together by myself and it took me 40 min. Service Review It was hear in no time. Excellent delivery! Larry Gentry from San Francisco, CA	3.0 8/8/2011 You Get What You Pay For It's composite material, not real wood so it's very heavy. It's also meant to attach to a platform bed they sell separately. It's too heavy to attach to my metal bed frame so I've attached it to the wall instead. It looks decent enough. I may find a local cabinet maker to take it apart and make a real wood version.
