Would prefer wood, but was unable to find any in oak. I needed to match 3 wood chests that I have. This is a pretty good match even tho it is not wood.

Good. Ordered two items and would prefer that they be shipped at the same time so as to be delivered at the same time. I live in an apartment complex and I have to be here to accept delivery. It would be much more convenient if they were to arrive at the same time.

I had bought the headboard from this set for a summer home for my daughter's room and completed the set with the night table this time around. The night table was easy to put together; you need about an hour to complete. The instructions are well laid out and the end product is sturdy for the price paid. I would recommend this product.

We recently purchased the South Shore Versa Nightstand in Golden Oak and were very pleased. It is good quality for the price. While being particle board with a veneer, it does not look or feel cheap in any way. It is as high quality as any furniture store product. We read several reviews that said the assembly was difficult. It is not difficult at all. It is time consuming, but if you have two people who work well together and have assembled any other home furniture, this should be no problem. Our only slight trepidation is the plastic runners for the drawers. So far they work great, but we will have to wait years to see if they stay that way. All in all we are very pleased with our experience and will be shopping here again.

This is a great nightstand for a reasonable price. It is not for those who don't wish to deal with assembly though. Even if you are experienced with "new age furniture assembly" plan to spend a half hour to an hour and 20 minutes to properly put it together. As long as this is not an issue for you...buy it!! I am pleased for the price, it's not luxury hardwood but what do you expect for such a good price!
