We hired a contractor to assemble the bed, he did not have any difficulties once all the parts arrived. (Our shipments arrived days after each other). The bed is a washed out white, not a bright white. You can almost see the wood grain through the finish. In time I may add a coat of paint to this. The bed frame itself is adorable. Very whimsical. We use a 5" box spring which is perfect. Overall I would purchase this bed again, just wish the finish was a more solid paint color.
Too tall with mattress and regular box spring

Buy a half box spring for the mattress. Other than that, I really like it.
Twin Panel Bed

This twin bed was what I was expecting, no surprises here. The only thing I didn't like was that they wouldn't bring the package up to the house. Other than that, I'm happy with it.
precious bed for my toddler

this bed is so sweet and exactly what i was hoping for. however, the packaging left little to be desired. a piece (decorative arch on headboard) was broken upon arrival but the customer service from south shore was fine and they sent a new piece quickly. i found it incredibly difficult and frustrating to put together. i have a lot of experience putting furniture together and this was the most difficult piece i've ever done. screwing the pieces together by hand was very difficult to do. my hand became sore after putting just one of five portions together. i had to put it together over a few days. i had to leave a few screws less than perfectly flush (but very close) and it's still very sturdy once put all together. despite the difficulty in assembly, the appearance and value makes it a worthwhile purchase.

great bed, poor hardwarer

I bought this bed for my 4 year old daughter as a step up from a toddler bed and it is exactly what I was looking for and she loves it. The bed itself is great quality for the price and it nice and sturdy. I took a lesson from other reviews and used a pieve of string plywood instead of a box spring, otherwise it woukd be too high for her to get in and out on its own, but with the plywood it is perfect. It was easy to assemble, I did it myself in just iver an hour, but the scrws that were provided were terrible. There was no way they were going in more than half in inch, even afte I rspirted to the electric screwdriver. I replaced the scrws provided with some good quality self tapping screws and finished the job in no time and with no problems at all. I would definately recommend this bed, so long as you are prepared to buy a pack of screws as well.

This bed had nice detail. Easy to put together. Took two people about 2 hours. Only thing is that it is high off of the ground. Once a mattress and boxspring is added, my daughter has to climb into be using the side board.

Perfect Bed for my daughter. So cute for a little girl. Assembly did not take long at all. A little higher or a bed than i had expected but overall we love it!
Re: Twin Panel Bed

Looked great on the pic, However the quality is pretty bad, instructions for assembly was not good. Had holes on the headboard and missing part of it at the top of head board. The headboard is so thin that when the nail fm the back was inserted, it damaged the front. We were not happy with this product it was our 6 yr olds first twin bed and we were disappointed.

We put this bed in our daughter's home. While there was not a trundle, the frame had space for a box spring and mattress which was nice.
