Great Bedframe Platform
Sakura from Ann Arbor, MI– Verified Buyer
The bedframe came as what it was shown online. It was relatively easy to build, especially if the person is handy. I purchased this item for my daughter, and I did build the platform by myself without getting any help (and I am a mom). It took me about 2 hours from start to finish, but it's doable to be done by one person. The bedframe is sturdy, and we have no complaint about the product up to this point. It is simple and we love its minimalist style. Perfect for small to medium size room as it doesn't take over the room because it is not bulky at all. The delivery was great and on time. The only 'issue' with the delivery was the package is EXTREMELY HEAVY! Be prepared to have someone helping you to carry it inside the house.
Hard Assembly. Snapped.
Ashley from Chicago, IL
As stated in many reviews, this assembly did require a drill. It arrived at my house fairly quickly, so I was happy about that. However, It weighed a TON and came in one box. Just in case you don't have anyone to help you bring it into the house, that might come in handy. I put it together fairly easily with drill bits and screws. It looked great, a few of the edges were scuffed when I opened it from the box, but most of them were hidden by bedding and my mattress. Within 4 weeks the screws with the plastic fittings snapped and crumbled, right under my head. I weigh 160 lbs. Wayyyy less than the 500 lb weight limit on this product. I was extremely disappointed and proved the boyfriend right in the process (not good). This bed frame is too cheap to last long. If you want it to last long, you will have to make improvements on the frame itself and re-enforce it. However, that didn't even work as the wood snapped that supported the mattress instead of the screws. So basically I bought a pile of junk. Only buy this product if you plan on using it for less than a month and weigh less than 160 lbs. I would not recommend this product. The product matched what it said in the description, however, you do need to drill some holes.
Looks great! Easy Assembly!

We ordered this platform bed in lieu of getting split boxsprings. Ours is a queen size in the gray oak. It looks amazing! And its super comfortable, no dipping in the middle when two people are laying on it. Be prepared for a heavy box. The box weighed a grand total of 135 lbs! I would suggest if you have to carry up staircases like we did, disassemble the box first and carry it up piece by piece. Your back will thank you! Assembly for this product was easier than I was expecting. It does take about an hour with two people. While it is not needed (and we did not use one) a power drill would have been helpful, so if you have one handy use it! If not, your hands may be a little sore the next day but as a girl I had no problem screwing in the screws where needed. All and all I would absolutely recommend this product!
Great solid platform bed

This is my second South Shore platform bed. A really good solid platform, and easy to assemble. It took me 1 hour to put this together (myself), and I'm a girl!. A second person is really not required. This frame is well constructed and is perfect if you have a head board that you want to use (I have a hand made one). The gray finish is really nice, it is unusual from the typical black or espresso or white. If I need another platform, I will not hesitate to purchase this one. Great service from Wayfair too! Sent on Monday, received on Wednesday, and less than a week before Christmas! The package is very heavy as stated by others. I had to help the Fedex guy to take it off the truck. He was kind enough to bring it up into the house, and I was very grateful for his help. Recommend taking the box apart and moving the pieces individually to bring to the room you are assembling in, or you will hurt yourself.
Love this bed frame!

This is exactly what I was looking for -- an inexpensive bed frame that does not require a box spring. My bedroom is in the top floor of my house and has very low ceilings. I've been using a basic metal frame from the mattress store, and I constantly hit my head on the ceiling when I wake up during the night. This frame allowed me to get rid of my box spring, and makes my room look MUCH bigger than before!
Great and stylish

I purchased 2 of these for my kids and both, a 13 yr old and a 6 yr old, love their new beds. It took about 11 days for shipping-which I'm certain was because the weather this past winter has really messed up delivery for a lot of items. The beds were really easy to put together and are amazingly sturdy. The only thing that bothered me was that I could still see about an inch of mattress support board (mdf board) when the bed just had sheets on it. So I wouldn't be able to pull off the look like what the site shows in the above pic. At first I thought it was the mattress type, but with both the standard and overfluffed pillowtop mattress you still had that annoying gap. I had to buy a bed skirt to cover it up because it irked me so much. Otherwise the bed was a great buy and kids enjoy them.

The product was as advertised. There were no missing parts just a chip out of one of the horizontal slats. It does require two people to complete the installation if you want to do it in a reasonable amount of time. Yes, it can be done by one person.
Great for the price

I was really worried about getting a bed. The cost for everything was really astonishing( I knew they were expensive but I guess I didn't really know). But this does the deed perfectly. If all you want is to get off the ground then this is all you need. My only problem with it was in the assembly. All the pieces were there (always a good start) and it was basic stuff. Insert into a slide in to b etc. But right in the middle of it there were no holes. And if you don't have a drill and it tells you not to use one basically you're screwed. It has the capability to add an optional head board(sold separately) if you feel the need. All and all its great. Save for the 30mins and swearing in the middle of construction.

This is a nice bed. I bought it for my daughter. It was pretty easy to put together, but like other reviews said, there are some pre-drilled holes missing. A lot of little pieces to put together, that honestly could have been put together at the factory. Took me about 45 minutes to put together, but the frame didn't seem as stable as I thought it should be after I put it together. Not sure how it would hold up for my husband and I, but is great for my 4 year old. A side note, the box is REALLY heavy. Although Wayfair had nothing to do with this, the Fed Ex guy dropped it off in the rain with no plastic over it. I had to stand out in the pouring rain, open the box and take each piece inside. It was WAY too heavy for one person to move.
WOW, FULL WOOD SUPPORT GREAT BED!!!!!!
Melanie from CANADA– Verified Buyer
We have had lots of beds, and this one gets a great review. It has full wood support boards, not just a few slats that the mattress eventually curves into. The finish is nice (we got white). It even has hardware to add a headboard. It doesnt look cheap, like the box style my other, teen daughter chose for herself. I'd be surprised if this doesn't last until my 8 year old takes it away to college. Liked it so much I'll remember the brand to buy more future items from the company. Great quality for the price.
