Pricing suits the bed

This Bed is a good look for a room. Just a little too low so may want to get bed raisers if you want a higher bed. If you are handy then this bed is easy to set up. You 100 need a power screwdriver to install becasue some of the holes are not provided. Took my freind about 35 min to set up so not too bad.
Moving Slats (Decreased Support)
Brian from Merrimack, NH – Verified Buyer
My girlfriend and I ordered this bed frame due to a limitation that prevented a box-spring from being used in the bedroom. After about a half hour the bed was fully assembled and has served us well for the past month however, we find that sometimes the slats which support the mattress move slightly decreasing support modifying the product to prevent this problem from occurring in the future (1 x 2 along the head and foot) since readjustment is tedious.
Cheap Quality, Cheap Looking, Broke Immediately
Lana from Santa Barbara, CA
Don't buy this. I've had good luck with assemble-yourself furniture in the past- am a fan of Ikea, Cost Plus, etc. This makes all of those look luxurious. This is an incredibly cheap piece of furniture- looks it and feels it. Was not easy to assemble (I had my roommate help). Broke within a month. I'm a woman of normal size and basically just slept on it. Repeat: it's cheap and not very good looking. Don't get it. If you're still tempted, instead of throwing your money away, just send me the $200. At least I will have saved you the waste of time in putting it together.
South Shore platform bed

This is a wonderful product. When I first unpacked it I thought it was a bit cheap looking but discovered that despite being made from particle board, it was quite durable. The setup was simple and the hardware is some of the best I've seen. Once assembled, it looks great and you can't tell it's not real wood! Now I need to order the matching headboard and nightstand...testing phase complete. I highly recommend it.
Ebony Platform Bed

This bed is great. I thought it might look a little cheap because it's not real wood but I was wrong. It looks like real wood and it's beautiful.
Worth the Price

Product is good for the price. I got the matching set with night stand and 6-dresser drawer. Had a couple of pieces damaged from shipment and just waiting on replacement parts. The color is nice and true from showing on website.
Good for value

Good for value. The wooden platform makes a little noise. It is a good buy if you do not want to spend a lot.

Easy to Assemble, Better than IKEA
Betty from Phoenix, AZ – Verified Buyer
Bed was easy to assemble for the most part. However, as with the Gravity nightstand, some holes were not pre-drilled and it was also missing 4 screws. I found South Shore's customer service to be fairly responsive, and they will send out whatever you need.
