This is the ONE!!!! from Des Plaines, IL on 09/10/2014 – Verified Buyer
I searched everywhere for an affordable, sturdy, spacious and larger changing table for our son's nursery. I was pleasantly surprised when we received the South Shore Changing Table! I also wanted a dresser that could grow with him so that we did not have to buy additional furniture in the near future. I LOVE IT! The box came very damaged from the shipping company but the table was wrapped so tightly that there were only 2 very small dents on the base board and top--barely noticeable. When I registered the table with SS, their customer service offered free replacement pieces with free shipping within an hour. We decided that the pieces were fine and when my husband put it together, the scuffs were easily hidden! I recommend following the instructions to a tee. It took us about 3 hours to put together and it really was NOT AS HARD as the previous reviews. READ the instructions before you start, LAY out the pieces in a sensible manner and ORGANIZE the hardware. He used a cordless drill with a Phillips head to attached all the pieces. It saved a lot of time and carpal tunnel syndrome but you have to be very gentle to not strip the wood. I would not hesitate to buy this again.

Cute product, disaster to put together from Mansfield, OH on 11/19/2014 – Verified Buyer
My husband and I love the removable top so we don't have to use it as a changing table after our baby outgrows it. Assembly was kind of a nightmare. Ever single piece came separately from the tracks the shelves roll on, to the trim pieces, to the back of the dresser which is 2 separate pieces of MDF taped together. Multiple pre-drilled pilot holes weren't there like the manual showed so my husband had to pre-drill them himself. Once it was all put together, there are some gaps between the drawers, cabinet, and the framing of the dresser. It isn't terribly noticeable but it bothered my husband. It isn't the best quality changing table but we thought it was a fair price, it does look nice in the room, and will do the trick for a now. Wouldn't consider it a forever piece in your child's room. Overall we are happy with it and would suggest it to others as long as you know what you might be getting yourself into with the assembly. removable top, good amount of storage for a changing table Difficult assembly, moderate quality

A million parts???!!!! from Temple city, CA on 02/24/2015 – Verified Buyer
The product looks exactly as picture after a few days of assembly. But seriously, the box was nice and neat when shipped. When I opened it up and started to take out the parts...wow, there was like 100 pieces! The instructions were confusing at times but after some trial and error on some steps in installation and a sore back the changing table was finally put together. If you are handy and have an extra set of hands to help you for 2-3 steps of this assembly don't buy it. If you are the handy type of person and don't mind putting together a bunch of pieces to make a final product then go ahead. Wood is plywood and not real wood if you were wondering but then again for <$200 what did you expect =)

Beautiful Changing Table. from Bloomfield, NJ on 10/07/2015 – Verified Buyer
Received the Changing Table, however the deliver company left in the rain outside of the door steps. It was one package and very heavy. Not to mentioned that the Top was damaged on the edge. Yes I can call and complain. Then I need to wait until the part comes or I have to send the whole package back. So I moved forward ! You really need help to lifting the package to where I wanted . It is recommendable to have a electric screwdriver and be prepared that some of the wholes are not prepared. You could do it by yourself (one person) and it will take you about a full day. All in All it is done t looks beautiful and we are pleased to have it. comes in one piece. It it affordable.... Yes and no... As you must put it together by yourself, you can go to IKEA and you would have the same and much cheaper.

Great product but labor-intensive assembly from Nashville, TN on 09/23/2015 – Verified Buyer
This is a really cute dresser/changing table that looks great in the nursery. The only two problems I have with it is that it was a lot more labor-intensive to assemble than I had anticipated. I love putting furniture together but this came with many more parts that I expected and took about 8-10 hours to assemble. That being said, I was 8 months pregnant when I assembled it and had very limited mobility at the time! The only other minor complaint is that after assembly, the two bottom drawers do not line up with each other perfectly and stick out a little bit on one side. Really only something that one would notice if you paid very close attention. It's a great product for the price and is adorable. Pros: Great value, looks great in the nursery Cons: Time-consuming assembly

Lovely Item from Minneapolis, MN on 10/30/2015 – Verified Buyer
Yes, it's hard to assemble, but not too bad if you are organize. Arrange the pieces alphabetically before you start, that helps a lot. Overall I was impressed with the quality of the wood, the last part to assemble is the dresser drawers. I found those very challenging and prone to errors that damage the inside of the drawer. The directions for this part say "use extreme caution" and you should. Our kit was also missing 3 screws, but I just went to hardware store to get a replacement. Overall the piece looks really nice. The drawer pulls are also high quality ceramic which is a nice touch. Pros: Quality construction on exterior pieces. Cons: Work to assemble. ~3-4 hours.

Cheap and falls apart from Reading, MA on 11/01/2014 – Verified Buyer
This product arrived in insufficient packing. I immediately was skeptical but upon inspection I found no damaged pieces. I began to put it together, total took me just over 3 hours. I've put a lot of furniture together so it was fairly easy, however, I noticed most of the way some pieces go together was made very cheap. The major problem was that the door on the right hand side is held onto the side panel by 2 plastic (2 dowel each) fittings which literally come right off of the whole table. There were other circumstances which were safety related while use of the product. The door comes off so easily, it struck my child on the foot and the top corner hit his head. I called Wayfair customer services, explained the issue and they immediately credited me for the cost of the product, apologized and told me I can discard it. They recommend that I do not donate it, which was very keen on their side, because I would not give anybody this piece of furniture which the door constantly falls off of. Next time I may need to do more research on the product. It's sold by a third party company called South Shore. Even though most of the reviews seemed good, the product simply doesn't even belong on the market, its unsafe. Thumbs up to Wayfair's customer service, They will get my business again one day if I find a decent product in the future. I made the Consumer Product Safety Commission aware of the product and what I consider to be a defective and unsafe set up.

Warning Label Printed Directly On Product in Plain View from Detroit, MI on 03/12/2015
I really do like the product. It's pretty and cute (if not slightly cheaply made). My big problem is that the product comes from Montreal Quebec. Per their government regulations, a "fall warning" is printed in BLACK, DIRECTLY on the front of the product (in several languages). Not a sticker, not removable. It looks so terrible, tacky, and ugly. I called Wayfair for assistance and they directed me to SouthShore (the manufacturer). Everyone I spoke to was so nice but basically -- it is what it is. Non-removal black warning label printed right on the product. The advice given by SouthShore was to cover it with stickers or decor. What!? Ugh.... Also it did come shipped in a million pieces. If not for the fact that my husband builds complicated products for a living I have no idea how someone would figure out how to put this thing together. I certainly could not have. Quite a nightmare. It took him approximately 4 hours.

Cheap quality and it takes forever to put it together (height only for tiny people) from San Francisco on 11/06/2015 – Verified Buyer
I had to re-order missing parts 3 times! The thing is I couldn't go on when a main part was missing. So I had to wait another week for the order and then I found out that again there was something missing. Then it took me forever to figure out why the slide-in boxes on the right side didn't work. It was because they sent me wrong screws that didn't allow sliding in because they were too big (round top instead of flat). There are a thousand different parts. I'm really used to do this kind of stuff myself but it drove me crazy. Last but not least is the height not what we expected. I'm average in height but I have to bend down. My husband might never change a diaper on this table because he is over 6 ft. For our first 2 kids we had a different changing dresser and I compared the height before ordering this one and it was exactly the same but here is the difference: they don't meassure the point where the baby will be lying but the highest point of the dresser. This is something that should be pointed out. Last but not least everything is not straight. After 10 hrs of work I'm so done with this thing that I will buy another one and put this somewhere not to be seen anymore. My question how to send it back when I already started to build it up has never been answered. Even uploading photos in the right position seems not to work. Pros: nothing Cons: 1000 different parts

Ok product for the price from Cheyenne, WY on 10/21/2015 – Verified Buyer
Putting this together took FOREVER and some of the pieces did not line up with the pilot holes causing some issues with construction. While moving this item after putting it together one of the pieces even broke-literally five minutes after I finished putting it together. I have purchased many items requiring construction before and never had this amount of issues. Overall, I would not buy it again but for the price I could not turn it down as it was a necessary purchase for our nursery. Just beware of flimsy boards and plastic attachments-they WILL break and quickly!
