Cute product, disaster to put together
Mary from Mansfield, OH – Verified Buyer
My husband and I love the removable top so we don't have to use it as a changing table after our baby outgrows it. Assembly was kind of a nightmare. Ever single piece came separately from the tracks the shelves roll on, to the trim pieces, to the back of the dresser which is 2 separate pieces of MDF taped together. Multiple pre-drilled pilot holes weren't there like the manual showed so my husband had to pre-drill them himself. Once it was all put together, there are some gaps between the drawers, cabinet, and the framing of the dresser. It isn't terribly noticeable but it bothered my husband. It isn't the best quality changing table but we thought it was a fair price, it does look nice in the room, and will do the trick for a now. Wouldn't consider it a forever piece in your child's room. Overall we are happy with it and would suggest it to others as long as you know what you might be getting yourself into with the assembly. removable top, good amount of storage for a changing table Difficult assembly, moderate quality
This is the ONE!!!!

I searched everywhere for an affordable, sturdy, spacious and larger changing table for our son's nursery. I was pleasantly surprised when we received the South Shore Changing Table! I also wanted a dresser that could grow with him so that we did not have to buy additional furniture in the near future. I LOVE IT! The box came very damaged from the shipping company but the table was wrapped so tightly that there were only 2 very small dents on the base board and top--barely noticeable. When I registered the table with SS, their customer service offered free replacement pieces with free shipping within an hour. We decided that the pieces were fine and when my husband put it together, the scuffs were easily hidden! I recommend following the instructions to a tee. It took us about 3 hours to put together and it really was NOT AS HARD as the previous reviews. READ the instructions before you start, LAY out the pieces in a sensible manner and ORGANIZE the hardware. He used a cordless drill with a Phillips head to attached all the pieces. It saved a lot of time and carpal tunnel syndrome but you have to be very gentle to not strip the wood. I would not hesitate to buy this again.
A million parts???!!!!

The product looks exactly as picture after a few days of assembly. But seriously, the box was nice and neat when shipped. When I opened it up and started to take out the parts...wow, there was like 100 pieces! The instructions were confusing at times but after some trial and error on some steps in installation and a sore back the changing table was finally put together. If you are handy and have an extra set of hands to help you for 2-3 steps of this assembly don't buy it. If you are the handy type of person and don't mind putting together a bunch of pieces to make a final product then go ahead. Wood is plywood and not real wood if you were wondering but then again for <$200 what did you expect =)
Cheap and falls apart
Laura from Reading, MA – Verified Buyer
This product arrived in insufficient packing. I immediately was skeptical but upon inspection I found no damaged pieces. I began to put it together, total took me just over 3 hours. I've put a lot of furniture together so it was fairly easy, however, I noticed most of the way some pieces go together was made very cheap. The major problem was that the door on the right hand side is held onto the side panel by 2 plastic (2 dowel each) fittings which literally come right off of the whole table. There were other circumstances which were safety related while use of the product. The door comes off so easily, it struck my child on the foot and the top corner hit his head. I called Wayfair customer services, explained the issue and they immediately credited me for the cost of the product, apologized and told me I can discard it. They recommend that I do not donate it, which was very keen on their side, because I would not give anybody this piece of furniture which the door constantly falls off of. Next time I may need to do more research on the product. It's sold by a third party company called South Shore. Even though most of the reviews seemed good, the product simply doesn't even belong on the market, its unsafe. Thumbs up to Wayfair's customer service, They will get my business again one day if I find a decent product in the future. I made the Consumer Product Safety Commission aware of the product and what I consider to be a defective and unsafe set up.
Good quality considering price

First of all, this product arrived damaged and with pieces missing. Count everything before you get started! Happily, the company sent me out what I needed with no issues. Also be aware that this thing is very difficult to put together. It took me five hours with a friend. Also, we had to drill several holes that weren't adequately set up. Once we finally has it together, I was very satisfied with the result. My only issue is that the large door wouldn't center no matter what we did. It's not that noticeable though. All things considered, it's a great product if you're on a budget.
Warning Label Printed Directly On Product in Plain View
Kate from Detroit, MI
I really do like the product. It's pretty and cute (if not slightly cheaply made). My big problem is that the product comes from Montreal Quebec. Per their government regulations, a "fall warning" is printed in BLACK, DIRECTLY on the front of the product (in several languages). Not a sticker, not removable. It looks so terrible, tacky, and ugly. I called Wayfair for assistance and they directed me to SouthShore (the manufacturer). Everyone I spoke to was so nice but basically -- it is what it is. Non-removal black warning label printed right on the product. The advice given by SouthShore was to cover it with stickers or decor. What!? Ugh.... Also it did come shipped in a million pieces. If not for the fact that my husband builds complicated products for a living I have no idea how someone would figure out how to put this thing together. I certainly could not have. Quite a nightmare. It took him approximately 4 hours.

I am not due until November 19 so I haven't been able to use the table yet. However, I can say that it took my husband and I over 6 hours to build it. I've never seen so many pieces before in my life. It looks amazing and the storage capabilities are great. It is very heavy, which is good because it is sturdy but difficult if you don't have someone who can lift it for you especially if you are a pregnant mommy. I love the way it looks and will provide more feedback once I've used it!

I absolutely loves this peice when I ordered it, and still do. But, even though it came fully secured, there were two big dents on the top on the dresser. I love it so much, I just covered the dents with my diaper warmer and mattress pad. I don't have time to contact customer service and ask for a new piece with my baby coming any day. It was very time consuming to put together, but my husband has the patience of a saint and made it work. Overall....it looks a fits perfectly in our nursery.
Quality way above the price
Elena from Brookline, MA – Verified Buyer
This is a very sturdy piece of furniture- it is actually really really heavy and does not look or feel like an inexpensive piece. I was deciding between this and spending hundreds more at a more designer store, and I am so glad I did not spend the extra money- this is just as good. The only reason I have it 4 stars is because this inside of the three drawers is not smooth white wood but rather a gray color that looks less polished. But I am happy with my purchase!

We have received the changing table but we haven't put it together because one piece came broken from the bad packaging. Having said that the quality looks good, although there are too many pieces to puzzle. Another positive thing is that the company South Shore is willing to replace any broken or missing part without going back to way fair or returning the item. Cannot wait to see the finished product.
