The only think I really don't like is the platform section above the draawers where the mattress sits is particle board. It seems well supported but I still removed it and substituted real plywood from our local lumberyard and then stained it dark to match. Drawers roll smoothly although the slides are plastic. My husband has put together IKEA furniture and he said this was much more difficult and the overall quality of the set is comparable to IKEA. When we move up to a teenager bedroom for our son, we'll spring for assembled furniture - this was a pain! We'll see how it holds up over time... Was this helpful? Yes / No

The bed has 3 drawers that do no hold a ton of stuff, so if your looking for good storage you might need something with bigger drawers. Drawer glides are plastic so they don't slide super easy. I would say this bed is good for the value. Wasn't blown away by "superior quality" but it's a decent bed. It took us about 3.5 hours to put together both headboard and bed. The drawer handles are sharp and hit you right in the shin. We took them off so our two-year-old wouldn't get hurt. The service at Wayfair was great but we did get a few dings in the bed itself.
