South Shore Axess Five Shelf Bookcase in Pure White

I ordered two book shelves last week. When my husband went to put it together last night, holes had not been drilled in one of the bookcases. I am now trying to get a replacement shelf sent to me. Aggravating!

This product came in damaged. Both long side pieces were cracked down the middle. I ordered them for their website and in about a week they came in. This time, however, both pieces were jammed on the corners of one end and kind of smashed down or broken out there. I ordered again and in about another week, they came in and were well packaged and were fine. Once I got good parts and put this together I found it to be a very nice and sturdy shelf. It is well made with screws and dowels in the static shelves. The plastic caps to cover the screws were easy to push on. Shelves had finish on both sides where it would show and the backing was white on the side that showed. It was also quite easy for one person to put together.

This seems to be an ok shelf but it came in damaged. We ordered replacement parts and they came in damaged so we had to order again. I know this is a shipper problem, not the wayfair or the manufacturer but we have had this shelf for almost 2 weeks and will have to wait another week or so for the new parts to come in, before we can even put it together. I will probably not order this kind of furniture in the future.

This is a nice looking bookshelf, but go elsewhere if you want solid hardwood. It is particle board, and as most bookshelves do at this price point, has a painted cardboard back. But it does the job of holding all my books. I'm glad that it has adjustable shelves. The shelves are sturdy - I don't think they will buckle in the middle like some I've had, even with a full shelf of books on them. It was easy to put together.

These look very nice in the spare room. Good quality and a snap to put together. We use them with cloth cube storage boxes for toy storage.

These are Ikea bookshelves. Fiberboard with flimsy back. you get what you pay for. They'll do the job in my apartment, but I probably won't take them with me when I move.

Great deal! Easy to assemble. Got delivered right to your doorstep. Got 3 of them to have lots of space for books. Will mount them to the wall though to make them a bit more sturdy (and child safe). It does not always have to be Ikea...;)

you can't expect much for this price. pressboard, cardboard backing with seams that show. but once books are in place it looks fine and does the job. it was cheap and i got what i paid for!
