really like these curtains
Ann from Davidsonville, MD – Verified Buyer
First off, beware that the 'River Blue' curtains look nothing like the color in the picture. That being said, I still really like the color of these curtains, which are more a dark grayblue. At the insistence of my husband who really wanted blackout curtains (I wanted white sheers), I did hours of research to find the blackout curtain that I would find the least offensive. I finally settled on these, and I am so glad I did. They are very creased and wrinkled when they come out of the packaging, but I washed and dried them, removing them promptly from the dryer, and hung them while they were still warm. This process removed most of the wrinkles. Before they arrived, I was afraid I would have to endure a 'hotel-looking' window treatment in my bedroom, but once my husband hung them, we were both very pleasantly surprised at how much we loved them as they really add a look of sophisticated elegance to our room, and I really like the texture of them. They do a really good job of darkening the room at night. In fact, I've actually run into the door in the middle of the night because I couldn't see where I was going! To maximize the blackout effect, we purchased wraparound blackout curtain rods to prevent any light from seeping through the sides. I would definitely recommend these curtains both for their function and their aesthetic appeal.
Great product, one very slightly damaged.

Very satisfied, fits our needs. Be aware that you have to order each panel separately, this is not a full curtain set. We started by ordering four and ended up needing six for the long window that runs the length of our bedroom. Pros: true to color blocks light well - I'm very light sensitive when I sleep, and I sleep much better now that these are installed. easy to hang. washable. Cons: - One panel came with a small thin spot, about the size of a spoon. The color appears the same, but when light is shining directly at it, it comes through the thin spot visibly. We just fold that spot in, no biggie. - Light still comes in at the top and bottom. Getting a longer curtain might have solved the light leak on the bottom, but we didn't want it dragging on the floor. The light leak at the top couldn't be helped with our curtain rod setup, but you may have some success if you can hang your rod closer to the ceiling. Ours is in a weird alcove and can't be adjusted. As I said in the "pros," these curtains still block so much light from a NYC night, the little light leaks at the top and bottom aren't a big deal. If you want these for blocking full sunlight because you sleep during the day, be aware that it will be a much bigger problem for you. Get them long, and hang your rod high enough to close any gaps at the top. Also, there *was* a slight chemical smell that some other reviewers noted, but it was gone for us after the first wash. They are also deeply creased when they arrive. The initial wash fixes this to some extent, but didn't get rid of all the creases on all the panels (more effective on some than others). Since they've been hanging for over a month, the creases have been stretched by the weight of the curtain, I don't notice them at all.
Great window covers.

These curtains keep out the heavy sun. Even with triple pane windows in Las Vegas the sun heats up the glass. It is nice to keep the room cool. These curtains do the job. Wish I had found them years ago.

Needed something for our dining room that had a big sliding door. It is extremely hot and sunny year round in South Florida and these curtains do a great job and blocking out the blinding rays and bring down The temperature. They did HAVE a strong plastic smell right out of the package and heavily creased....so a good spritz with water and throw in the dryer helped soften them up to hang. The color is what I was looking for, a slate Gray that goes well with our room.
Very nice! and you can't beat the price!

The quality of material and texture of these curtains is top notch. They are very thick. I washed, dried, and hung straight from the dryer and they look perfect. No ironing needed. Looked even better the next day after hanging. I purchased them in grey, which is a lovely darkish platinum color, with a little sheen. Hung them in a room where the occupant works until very late at night and sleeps later in the morning. These block out all the morning light.
curtains for den area
Melinda from Texas – Verified Buyer
I originally purchased these curtains for a guest bedroom but they were a little too institutional for that room so I moved them to our large den area. They have a white lining and do a very good job of blocking the sun. The color I chose looks a lot like a very light cream khaki type material, very heavy weight. I think that if you are looking for something that blocks the sun and don't mind that they are informal looking, you will like these curtains. They do not drape softly.

I bought these curtains to use in a guest room. I had a problem with furniture fading from the bright sun. They are wonderful. Very good quality for the money. Be aware that the only come in one panel packs unlike most curtains that come with two panels. They needed a light ironing and now look like professional drapes inside and from the outside of the house. The room is completely dark when not in use and that will save my rugs and furniture from fading. Love them. The ivory is a beautiful color and the texture is great.
Great for the price!

These curtains are awesome. Totally durable and block out the sun, now I can sleep in later! I was surprised by the quality since they were so inexpensive, but these definitely do not lack there. I am very pleased with my purchase and will definitely consider the same brand when shopping for more.

The color and texture of this curtain is insanely gorgeous! It is fantastically rich. I love the way it blocks out all of the light in the bathroom. I know most people don't like that, but living in the desert it certainly helps the electric bill! These are also perfect considering that I suffer from migraines. This makes it possible to COMPLETELY block the light out of our bedroom.
Perfect look and darkening effect

Was a little reluctant to buy at this price - but they are very nice. Nice texture and there is a little odor (as others commented), but not bad and went away quickly (I am very sensitive to odors). I didn't even wash/dry to get wrinkles out - my dryer has a mist/wrinkle setting, so I just put them in for 15 minutes, then hung when warm and NO wrinkles at all. Great buy!! (Oh, and two ways to hang them, rod packet or tabs) Pros: Darkening effect & look Cons: none
