You know what doesn't go out of style? Geometric lighting, no really check it out. It's true. These are simple enough that they complement any home, but I love them because they have a sort of industrial style to them, which is what I go for. The light itself is super easy to hang and the base that mounts to the ceiling has a single screw that is concealed because it wraps around the wire so it looks very clean. If I had one complaint it would be that the cord isn't rigid so when you get it the bends that were made to fit it into the box stick around. I'm hoping with time and gravity it will fix itself, but until then it's not super noticeable. I tried to get a good photo of what my wire looks like, but the photo actually makes it look a little worse than what it is. A very pretty contemporary fixture for our entrance hall! A doable DIY installation, but be careful. The glass globes and brass rings of the fixture do not lock together into a single stack. The LED bulb is a cylindrical tube with a brass screw plate at the bottom. You remove the brass screw plate, assemble the globes and rings on the LED tube, and screw on brass screw plate back onto the bottom of the bulb tube to assemble the fixture. With just a short drop (9 inches) from the ceiling I opted to hang the canopy and bulb first, then assemble the fixture. The shipping box was just the right size to use on the ladder to support the globes as I assembled the fixture. It took about 90 minutes to get the old fixture down and the new fixture up and working. This fixture has a small transformer in the canopy that drops 120 volt household current down to 24 volts for the LED bulb. The leads from the transformer are connected to your home wiring. We did not do a dimmer on this installation. The light from this fixture is a bit whiter than 2700K 'warm white' bulbs, but is not the bluish 'daylight' color. We judge that this fixture provides more light in the space than the 2 60-watt incandescent bulbs in the ceiling fixture that we replaced.. DisprBJR. SE Michigan. 2022-03-08 13:48:04

Love this light fixture! It's beautiful and high quality. It was an enormous pain to hang because it is sooo heavy and you have to put all the globes on prior to hanging (we first put it up without the globes and then had to take it back down because it is impossible to put the globes on while it's hanging). It's easy enough to wire but we had to rig up a pulley system to hold it while we wired it since it's too heavy for one person on a ladder to hold up and wire. We also put pillow cases over the globes so they wouldn't bang together while we hoisted it up. We did have to add a dimmer switch because it is really bright when it's just on a normal switch.
