We tried to lighten the load by removing the drawers before carrying the chest upstairs, but the drawers are very difficult to remove. We finally succeed in removing the drawers. We were disappointed that the chest was more red than what appeared in the picture, so it doesn't match our other furniture as well as we expected. Overall it was a good purchase. Was this helpful?
