Nice bag, small for 17
Alan the Computer Guy from Sanford, FL– Verified Buyer
I ordered this bag to replace my last Solo catalog case which was nylon, and longer. I use these bags to carry around 2 or 3 17" laptops, the catalog style opening makes it convenient to pull the laptops out for security and slide them back in. Its also crucial that the bag fit easily into overhead compartments even on older/smaller planes -- and this one does that. Although this bag advertised as being suitable for most 17" laptops, only one of my 3 fits -- the smallest one which is the Macbook Pro. The Dell Precision M6400 fits snugly, to get the Dell Studio in I literally have to push the sides of the compartment out or put the Studio in at a diagonal. Other than that, the bag is well built, it looks very nice, and it has a nice spacious compartment. The wheels go over cracks and carpet edges smoothly, the handle seems sturdy and extends smoothly, the latches (this is what broke down on previous bag) seem to be quality. All in all, I wish I could have just replaced the previous bag which easily held my laptops, unfortunately Solo apparently stopped making that model and this was the best I could find -- this one is wider than any other catalog style bag that I was able to find by Solo or anybody else. Given that that is not an option, I think this bag will do me well. I'll be taking it to Australia for a two week trip soon so it will really get a trial by fire then!
The Perfect Rolling Briefcase

A great rolling briefcase
A solid choice for a flight case
Jon from Colorado
I am an airline pilot and use this case almost every day. The case is well built and looks great. It looks as if it could take abuse for years to come, with one exception: The wheels often get jammed by impediments like pebbles, causing them to stop turning and creating flat spots. Although these are easily filed out, more durable rollerblade wheels that do not jam so easily would be a welcome upgrade.
