I have been extremely pleased by the purchase of this sofa. I originally saw the split back sofa in a modern furniture store for $1100. I have surfed and surfed around the web for the best price and this is where I landed. You can't beat the price and the free shipping was quicker than I expected. The material is very much like leather (looks and feels great). The stiching is very clean lined and the frame is strong and easy to put together. This sofa is great for a home with pets. I have a very large dog and cat. Both of them are on and off of this sofa and the leather like vinel has yet to scratch. Plus, it wipes clean. I have a 1 bedroom in Manhattan and bought this as the primary sofa in my den. I love the look of the sofa. It never gets sloppy looking. The construction is very good and well-finished. I expect this sofa to look good for at least ten years. Turning it into a sleeper sofa is incredibly easy. Just flip it up and voila! You'd never guess that a sofa so small could turn into a true Queen size sleeper bed. Some minor drawbacks is that it's very firm when you sit on it--more than I'd like. I wouldn't want to spend more than a night or two sleeping on the firm bed. For my guests, I bought an eggcrate foam pad to make their sleep over more comfortable--which seems to compensate for the firmness. Also, when I lie on the sofa and dig my elbows into the cushion when reading, it takes about a half hour for my elbow imprint to go away. Finally, the extra rectangular pillows that I bought in addition to the sofa were cheap quality and not worth the price. The extra pillow material was cheap and the inside was identical to what you'd find in an airline pillow. You'd be better off buying your own somewhere else."..."  Read more

I needed to buy this because a standard sofa wouldn't fit through my entryway. Since this one has a really cool mechanism to fold out to a queen size bed, it ends up being the size of a queen mattress, which did fit. It's comfortable for those who like to sit upright and like a firm seat. The other Blu Dot sleeper sofa (One Night Stand) is really, really firm. The seat cushion is on the shorter side--I can't sit Indian-style on it, though I can cuddle with my boyfriend on it (we're both thin). The build quality is slightly below that of a Crate and Barrel sofa at a similar price point. But if you like the design of the sofa and need the fold out mechanism, I think it's worth it."..."  Read more

The Palliser sofa and loveseat I bought from Wayfair was the Valencia line which is now out of production but very similar to this. The fabric has held up very well. The construction is very good. I'm a 350 pound man and the springs and cushions have shown very little if any give.
