I have a 1 bedroom in Manhattan and bought this as the primary sofa in my den. I love the look of the sofa. It never gets sloppy looking. The construction is very good and well-finished. I expect this sofa to look good for at least ten years. Turning it into a sleeper sofa is incredibly easy. Just flip it up and voila! You'd never guess that a sofa so small could turn into a true Queen size sleeper bed. Some minor drawbacks is that it's very firm when you sit on it--more than I'd like. I wouldn't want to spend more than a night or two sleeping on the firm bed. For my guests, I bought an eggcrate foam pad to make their sleep over more comfortable--which seems to compensate for the firmness. Also, when I lie on the sofa and dig my elbows into the cushion when reading, it takes about a half hour for my elbow imprint to go away. Finally, the extra rectangular pillows that I bought in addition to the sofa were cheap quality and not worth the price. The extra pillow material was cheap and the inside was identical to what you'd find in an airline pillow. You'd be better off buying your own somewhere else."..."  Read more

The sofa is nice and we bought it for our children, who use futons for beds now. The sofa is well built and looks cute. The only difference from the futons the children use now is that the arm rests and the back are hard like a sofa while the futons are soft. The children are not used to the hard backs when they sleep so I recommend you get this sofa for younger children and also as a first bed after they start needing to sleep by themselves in a bed. The children like sitting on their own sofa and so far it handles them climbing on it..even after we tell them not to......"..."  Read more

We need a bed for guest. But I don't want to buy a bed and mattress, because it will make our multipurpose room into a bed room immediately. However, a futon will solve this problem. Even we don't have guest over night, we still can use and enjoy it often. I insist that buying a futon that is a comfortable and a good looking couch, but also a well support and a queen size bed. After doing all my research and comparing for a while, I found this product is the only one that fits all my requests. It is pricy, but I couldn't find any other product that satisfied all my requests. First of all, there aren't too many futon that are a real queen size bed. My husband and I enjoy this futon so much. We also received many compliments from our friends. The style is modern, yet neutral and subtle enough that goes well with our exist furnitures. The grey cover is a cool contemporary color and easy to maintain, since we have two dogs, this color is very practical to us. One of our family felt the cuisine is too firm. However, we can solve this problem easily by using a soft pat. I personally like firm bed and firm coach. I needed to buy this because a standard sofa wouldn't fit through my entryway. Since this one has a really cool mechanism to fold out to a queen size bed, it ends up being the size of a queen mattress, which did fit. It's comfortable for those who like to sit upright and like a firm seat. The other Blu Dot sleeper sofa (One Night Stand) is really, really firm. The seat cushion is on the shorter side--I can't sit Indian-style on it, though I can cuddle with my boyfriend on it (we're both thin). The build quality is slightly below that of a Crate and Barrel sofa at a similar price point. But if you like the design of the sofa and need the fold out mechanism, I think it's worth it."..."  Read more
