We need a bed for guest. But I don't want to buy a bed and mattress, because it will make our multipurpose room into a bed room immediately. However, a futon will solve this problem. Even we don't have guest over night, we still can use and enjoy it often. I insist that buying a futon that is a comfortable and a good looking couch, but also a well support and a queen size bed. After doing all my research and comparing for a while, I found this product is the only one that fits all my requests. It is pricy, but I couldn't find any other product that satisfied all my requests. First of all, there aren't too many futon that are a real queen size bed. My husband and I enjoy this futon so much. We also received many compliments from our friends. The style is modern, yet neutral and subtle enough that goes well with our exist furnitures. The grey cover is a cool contemporary color and easy to maintain, since we have two dogs, this color is very practical to us. One of our family felt the cuisine is too firm. However, we can solve this problem easily by using a soft pat. I personally like firm bed and firm coach. By the way, changing the futon into a bed and put it back into a coach is extremely easy and no heavy lifting involve."..."  Read more

Just FYI, the couch is darker than it appears in the picture. But we still love it. The directions were vague and did not explain how to unfold the couch into a bed. After calling the manufacturer and waiting 7 hours for them to call me back, I found out that you simply need to pull the back support forward and THEN push back. The couch is firm and for this reason would not let anyone sleep on it for long. But we are mostly going to be using it as a couch, so firmness is good. The only true down-fall, as I see it, is the fact that there is VELCRO on the actual couch itself (to hold the arm-rests in place). If better designed, they would've put the rough velcro on the arm-rests, NOT the bed. All in all, good quality and nice appearance."..."  Read more

We purchased this for dual purposes: guest bed and sofa for "dog room." We purchased a non-fabric covered sofa in order ensure that wet dog scents would not make their way into the sofa. Pros: - Relatively easy to put together*; - looks nice; visually appealing; - comfortable as a sofa; neither too soft or too firm; - easy to switch between sofa and sofa bed; - storage is excellent, versatile, and accessible; - Cons: - heavy when assembled; - holes are drilled through fabric and wood composite (black on black); instructions not clear enough as to front and back, even for an experienced person; - the lining of storage area is cheap - like those reusable shopping bags All in all; it was relatively easy to assemble, looks visually appealing, comfortable to sit on (and to sleep on - after being worn in a bit), easy to switch between couch and bed - even with one hand), and convenient and versatile use of space. Just poor instructions and less then expected workmanship/inside quality. - legs are cheap - basically wood blocks painted black.
