We needed a sofa for the family room which is also our guest room so it needed to be a sleeper sofa. We looked at a lot of standard pullout sofas but they where not comfortable for sleeping. We looked at standard futons but we did not like how they looked as a sofa and most were uncomfortable. When we came across this sofa it looked perfect, more like a standard sofa but functions like a futon. We ordered it from Wayfair who gave us excellent communication, service and delivery on time. It came in a box and the carrier brought it right into the living room. I put it together myself, took less then 1 hour and it was vary simple to do. It looks great, sleeps almost like a bed mattress; it is very comfortable both as a sofa and a bed. To open it into a bed and back to a sofa is simple and easy. Ok to make a very long story as short as possible, I cannot say enough about my purchase of the Convert A Couch. I ordered a sofa sleeper from a local furniture store, (paid a lot more for it than the convert a couch) they set up delivery right away. They could not get it around the corner down the hallway to the den, so I sent it back. I started thinking about what my options were, the only way was to get something that could be assembled in the room. so I did an internet search - hence the Convert A Couch. Unbelievable fast delivery, price was 13 of what I originally paid at my local furniture store and the quality is amazing. I am sitting on it right now and is completely comfortable. As a bed, way better than a sofa sleeper, as the mattress is thick and like a real mattress, not a thin thing like a sofa sleeper. I bought a pillow top pad for it and my guests rave about the comfort for sleeping. So if you are looking for something for an apartment with issues in getting things through doors, etc, there is hope. the assembly was easy, Handy Living has a website that talks you through the assembly if you are not into reading directions! The couch was not too difficult to put together for two people who have experienced [...]furniture in the past. It took about an hour... some of the directions were a little confusing but overall it was pretty easy. Once the couch was set up it looked good. Not totally like the picture, but still very nice. The gray color is very pretty and the material is comfortable. It does not look like an expensive couch but it certainly does not look cheap. The couch is comfortable in all three positions and it makes it very versatile depending on needs. I tend to leave it in recline but sitting up is also fine!If you are looking for a cheap couch that can be shipped straight to your destination, looks great, is comfortable and turns into a bed, then this couch is for you!"..."  Read more

I purchased the Carlen Sofa sleeper and Love seat combo because they fit the understated decor theme and tight size requirements of my vacation rental unit, the sleeper sofa requirement, matching upholstry, and reasonable pricing. [...] the product is very comfortable, the dibond leather looks great and should be easy to clean, and the sleeper mattress is very comfortable. As wide as the sofa is, it is still not a queen sleeper, but rather a full, with mattress measuring about 52" wide. The length is going to be a problem for folks over 5'11 and sleep fully laid out, but not for those of us who are mid-range and vertically challenged.
